Activity Stream

I got my Nexus 4 a few days ago, and it’s definitely one of the best phones ever. The best thing about this phone is that it’s pure Android. Also, since it has a beautiful 720p display, movies and shows look great on it. I use the DISH Remote Access app on my phone, which lets me stream live TV through the Sling Adapter that I have on my receiver. The app comes in handy when I can’t see the show at home since it works anywhere. One of my DISH coworkers is still waiting for his Nexus 4. Apparently it will take about 3 weeks to get here. Yikes.

I am impatiently waiting for the Note 2 to arrive! T-Mobile is the only provider to offer an unlimited data plan and in most cases is faster than one of my DISH coworker’s Galaxy SIII on Verizon’s LTE network, so that’s why I’m staying with them. We use the DISH Remote Access app on our phones to stream live and recorded TV using the Sling Adapter that’s connected to our receivers. With how much his phone buffers, I can’t see the benefit in paying more. It’s nice being able to stream when I want without worrying about hitting a cap, which doesn’t make sense for a smartphone!

I am even more excited to see SNL this weekend now that I’ve seen hispromo video. Bruno Mars is one of my favorite singers, and I’m looking forwardto hearing him sing his new song! Sadly, I won’t be able to watch the show liveon TV since I will be working late at DISH. I set up my Hopper to record theshow for me, so I am not worried about it. I have the last few shows on it, andI plan on recording the rest of the season as well since my DVR has plenty ofrecording space. I hope he does well on the hosting part!

Many people I talk to think it is going to be nice to write freely on the Galaxy Note 10.1 and I couldn’t agree more. As a student, I feel a tablet with a data plan would be better, so I may have to wait a bit. After playing on my Dish coworker’s Galaxy Tab 10.1, I found having a data plan useful for opening documents or streaming when wifi isn’t available. I like to watch my live and recorded TV to my phone through the Sling Adapter that I have connected to my receiver at home. It would be nice to open the Dish Remote Access app on the Note and catch up on a few shows or finish an essay wherever I am. We will see how good the Note 10.1 is!

I think it would be safe to assume that writing on the Note would be very pleasant. Being a student, I’m considering getting a new tablet, and am comparing the Note 10.1 and the new iPad. After using my Dish coworker’s Galaxy Tab, I found that a data plan on a tablet makes a lot of sense. I like streaming my live and recorded TV to my phone through the Sling Adapter that I have connected to my receiver at home. I think it would be helpful to send an essay or catch up on a few shows using the Dish Remote Access app on my tablet. I will have to wait until a data enabled Note gets here, but it will be worth the wait!

I hope the LTE Note 10.1 doesn’t take too long to get here. I have Note from AT&T and love the way it works, so I have high expectations of the Note 10.1. Some of my Dish coworkers have Notes and they love the performance, so I’m sure they are also excited for the Note 10.1. I like using my phone mainly for communication, so I think the bigger Note would be better for school and entertainment. I like streaming live and recorded TV to my phone through the Sling Adapter that I have connected to my Hopper. Along with the Dish Remote Access app, I think it would work wonders on the Note 10.1. I will definitely have to be patient with this one.

I am definitely enjoying my Galaxy SIII. I got it in white, and I don’t think I’ve had a better phone. I really like streaming, so my Dish coworkers suggested that I look for a phone with LTE, and the Galaxy SIII seemed like the best choice. Once I downloaded the Dish Remote Access app on my phone, I was streaming live and recorded shows to my phone through the Sling Adapter I have connected to my receiver at home in no time. I am looking forward to seeing what Samsung comes up with in the future, such as a new Galaxy phone.

Well these next few days can’t go by fast enough. I am expecting my Galaxy SIII will be great. I’m looking forward to using the new LTE network because many of my Dish co-workers have said that the network is so fast. I like to watch movies and TV shows on my current phone quite a lot using the Dish Remote Access app. I even stream recordings from my Sling Adapter connected receiver, so I’m sure LTE is going to make streaming a lot better. I can’t wait to get my GSIII!

Thanks a lot for the free codes! I rent quite a lot from Redbox because my kids don’t really care for the latest movies. Every now and then, a free code is a nice surprise. Personally I use Blockbuster @Home since my kids would rather see a cartoon for the millionth time on DVD. I like being able to see a new movie before someone tells me the ending, so Blockbuster really helps me there since the movies are there a month before Redbox. I’m going to stop by the Redbox and use the codes when I get off from work at Dish. Thanks again for the codes!

I thought the graphics on Immortals were amazing. I wasn’t surprised though since it is from the producers of 300. It looked great in theaters, and Blu-Ray looked brilliant. I got it in the mail from Blockbuster. I really like having Blockbuster @Home because along with DVDs and Blu-Rays, I get streaming to my laptop, TV and iPad anywhere I am, like the library or while on lunch at DISH where I work. I do have a few things I didn’t like about the movie, but I still loved it. I’m going watch it again!

Honestly I could care less if it is easy to sign up for DVDs. All I want is a streaming and DVD plan that is priced well. It was Netflix that had that until they went price crazy. I use Blockbuster @Home and for $10 a month I think it is pretty great. I really like that I can stream movies right to my laptop or iPad whether I am on lunch at DISH where I work or at school waiting for class to start. Of course, Blockbuster @Home gives me the option to rent movies from the store, or I can always have them sent to me in the mail. When I had Netflix, I liked the convenience of the service, but they messed up big time. Now that I have Blockbuster @Home, I know I have the best.
