 @GeorgiaIvsin Hi Georgia, you're right! The wording we used in that instance was more for dramatic effect, but it's been tweaked to be more accurate. Thanks for the catch!

Rob, I really enjoyed this article, but I'm having trouble relating it to a hectic Werewolf Ninja lifestyle. Any pointers?

 @DeannaMaidwell Hi Deanna, we wouldn't recommend using soaked bread as a general hand softener, as the effect will only be very temporary (which is what's needed when removing splinters).

 @DevanMPC Of course, we just want to get the most accurate info out there. And the excellent part of our community is that readers are willing to let us know when they think we can present things more clearly. So your careful reading is much, much appreciated!

@DevanMPC

Hi Devan, thanks for your comments. You're definitely right that in some instances, locally grown doesn't actually produce fewer emissions than larger scale productions; the wording in the article has been tweaked to better reflect that.

Re: meats, there is significant debate on this issue, but unfortunately it's tough to say all meat is raised in a very eco-conscious way. Runoff from farms is still just one of many potential issues communities face across the country and globe, and while we applaud farmers working to reduce waste, there's still much work to be done in order to make meat and dairy production more efficient and environmentally friendly. UC Davis work you cited is compelling, so we went ahead and included it as a reference in the article. The questionable reference you cited has also been replaced in order to avoid any potential misinterpretations.

Thanks so much for reading!

Best,

David

 @anonuser  You'll see from our disclaimer at the top of the article that we're in no way pushing or promoting what Dr. Mercola recommends — in fact, you'll find Greatist has taken a very pro-vaccine stance in our content, and we do in fact disagree with a lot of what he has to say. This is simply a Q&A. We were curious about Dr. Mercola's response to his critics, and what we're doing here is presenting those responses to encourage discussion about his theories and opinions (many of which are in the realm of the unproven). So not pushing or promoting, just presenting for your takes!  @ZullaT

 @ZullaT Hi Zulla, we're not necessarily condoning anything in this article — we're just presenting Dr. Mercola's answers to our questions here, some of which are indeed controversial. Thanks for reading!

 @JimMoreland Hi Jim! If you don't have access to cable machines, we recommend using resistance bands looped over a pull-up bar to gradually work up to an unassisted pull-up. Just make sure it's secured and step into the band, which will provide resistance against your bodyweight to make for an assisted pull. Thanks for reading!

 @Peter-Holt-Hoffman Hi Peter, thanks for your reply. The "debunking" in this case means shedding some light on the diets in question and dispelling some common myths about them. Everyone's nutritional requirements and lifestyles will vary, but what this article is basically saying is that paleo can be a great option as long as you take into account that it might be difficult to maintain the same level of carb intake (which could be a good thing for those hoping to drop some pounds!). Hope that helps clarify!
