First the defense of Gallardo's DUI, now this... why is this guy writing on the internet?

Oh, it's a common bad judgment around these parts? So that makes it okay?

The fact that you state you're disappointed in his ERA and do not state disappointment that he drove drunk is exactly what is wrong with sports fans and Wisconsin residents. That is truly obtuse.

@BarrelMan I guess I'm not quite ready to make that kind of a commitment yet (sounds like most girls I've dated), however as he hits arbitration this offseason it's definitely a conversation worth having.

That's a good point about IFs vs. OFs coming over from the Nippon League. For every Aoki, Ichiro, and Hideki Matsui there's a Nishioka, Iwamura, and Kaz Matsui. Pitchers seem to do pretty well, particularly relievers. Guys like Kaz Sasaki, Shigatoshi Hasegawa, Saito... Nomo and Irabu come to mind for starters, they had some productive years. Dice-K was impressive for a little before the injury.

Yeah, talk about a haphazardly assembled broadcast team. I don't know who the PbP guy was either but he was about as vanilla as it gets. And clearly Fox had all its usual color commentators covering other games so they just went with the FoxSportsNet dude who was in town. Although I don't think Rock is too much of a homer, and he was professional today, I bet Giants fans weren't pleased having him in the booth.

I think Melvin is reluctant to commit >$100mil to any player, and after the Cain extension, his chances of doing that with Greinke evaporated. He could have worked a Weaver-type 5/$82mil deal a few weeks ago, but now I'm afraid the chances of Greinke pitching in a Brewers uniform next season are very low.

Hunter Morris is a 1B, not OF. Also I've never heard anything about Gennett being a SS. I thought he's always played 2B.
