What great sites! I have long been a fan of SIBOL. She has put together beautiful afghans with such love and care. I will have to have a look at those sites I'm not familiar with. Thanks for the mention and for your work in gathering these links for us. Very useful.
I did not know that about googling images. Very cool except that the first time I did it I found an Arabic site whose owner stole many of my photos, kept my original copyright on them, and posted them on her own site as a tutorial. Not cool.
I don't live anywhere near California so it is easy for me to say sure, I'd do it. :-) However, I do think that although these men made mistakes, if they want to learn a skill that can help others - and maybe even give earning potential for when they are released - I think that effort should be encouraged and applauded. Many men are quite successful at doing fine work with small tools as is evident here. So kudos to them and to those who allow it to move forward.
