Yes, Travis... The thing to do is get all the good links your competition have, as well as other good links they don't have, and so make your link profile superior.

Yes, that's true -- either that you didn't address it, or took it private because you had something to hide.... Alternatively you could post publicly that you went to another channel for ease, and in a few words ouline how the issue was resolved.
That's a good point, _VHC. More generally, I also think marketers often fail to realise that people often scan the comments for clues as to whether it's worth watching, or continuing to watch a video. Even with a fast connection, it still takes a moment or two for videos to load, and for many internet users with slower connections the wait can often be considerably longer. People don't just sit there watching the spinning wheel -- they read. And if a video is somewhat slow to "get to the point," the comments again can be the deciding factor in whether they continue to watch or click on one of the related videos shown on the right.

Yeah, we often use it too. It's pretty good and convenient.

That's a valid point Georgijo, although there are numerous video hosting options these days to take the load off your web server.

Appreciate your perspective, Nic, but whilst the points might seem a bit obvious to you, that won't be everyone's reaction. How recently markets have changed depends on where in the world you live (and arguably the particular product or service involved). Here the statement is merely an opening gambit anyway. It could have read, "We all know times have changed..."
@mrtoner Actually it was the other way around, Don, although I wouldn't have known if not for a quick email search for 2Checkout -- I suggested it to you for BBFFA way, way back in Oct 2001! It appears that i-Cop president jl scott first told me about them. The fee is the same today as it was in 2001, 5.5% plus $0.45, so perhaps the competition charges less now, although I didn't find that the last time I looked.
I wasn't referring to TOS violations with Paypal, intentional or otherwise, but the annoyance of having payments held over some unsubstantiated gripe. I suspect this happens to you more or less often depending on where in the world you are based. It's not a problem I've had personally, but my account has a long history and I don't use it for direct selling, just commissions in. But still, denying access to Paypal isn't holding your money.
It's all labeling really. Nothing is really free. In most cases free shipping means the margin takes shipping costs into account to give an all inclusive price. But "Free Shipping" sells better than, "price includes shipping."
My latest conversation: Is Google+ a Viable Facebook Competitor?
Yes, you have to admit it's a great idea, and the kind of thinking it would be nice to see other companies emulate. More than saving Google money on its electric bill, it equates to a sizable reduction in greenhouse emissions.
My latest conversation: Is Google+ a Viable Facebook Competitor?
At the moment it seems that Google+ is more popular with webmasters and others engaged in online business, especially the marketing side of it, along with the more techie/ Net savvy individuals. Not surprising really that they should be the early adopters given the large part Google already plays in their lives with Adwords, Adsense, Docs and SEO. The big question is whether or not Google can bring in the general public in significant numbers too.
