I always enjoy seeing these two guys play each other. Since Garnett went East, it's a rarity, but still fun to watch. I know Garnett is intense and talks a lot of trash, perhaps doesn't have the best manners, but he has never rubbed me the wrong way like he does a lot of fans. You certainly never have to wonder whether Garnett is trying his best on any given night. I just see him as somebody who plays with a lot of fire. Part of the fun of Duncan versus Garnett is that contrast in personalities, but I agree with what Pop and Doc observed here. Two different styles, but the same results. And both still doing it after all these years.

Popovich isn't campaigning for anybody. He simply made contributions, without trying to shove his politics down anyone's throat. Good for him. It's a free country, and folks need to really lighten up a bit. If I stopped "respecting" everybody with whom I disagreed about politics, I'd run out of friends damn quick.

Nicely said. I have always liked Ford, but I gained a lot of respect for him watching his brief stint with the Spurs. It's obvious his teammates and opponents love the guy, too. All the best, TJ, for you and your family.

If the Lakers lost one of their bigs, you bet it would be good for us this season. But, honestly, I cannot imagine the Lakers and Celtics swinging a trade like that. They are bitter old rivals.

I love seeing a local guy don the silver and black. Best of luck, Eric!
