@ryanh61 I disagree. Cook is a strong leader, just a different style one. Folks need to get off the comparisons to Steve Jobs every time Cook does anything. Feels like they would blast him because he doesn't fart like Steve Jobs. Geesh.
Yes the commonly is changing. Yes it is suffering the growing pains of changing leadership. But that doesn't mean Apple is done. Just different
A better method would be for cities with such laws to enforce them. Pull folks over for driving with cell phones in hand. Actually use those traffic cam photos and ticket folks caught on the cams. Let walkers like me send in photos of folks I see daily who nearly run into me because they are talking or texting with phone in hand. And an app like this only works if you know the person is driving so you must be in the car with them. Simply telling them to put away the phone or even taking it from them works just as well. As proven by my nephew who at the age of ten knew his big brother (17) wasn't supposed to be using his phone while driving. Caleb grabbed the phone right out of his brothers hand and from the back seat hung up the call, called his parents and ratted his brother out before Michael could pull over and get the phone back. Michael was grounded for a month, cell phone taken away for 3 and car privileges for six. He and his prom date had to be driven to the prom by her parents or take the city bus. And as my brother is a cop, he had Michael ticketed for improper cell phone use while driving

If they do a Retina that won't be the only change. They will take out the ODD, bump the RAM to 8gb, perhaps toss in a couple of SSDs in place of the old school hard drive.

It's not really free. You paid for it with that 'Apple Tax'. But even with that and Apple Care they are likely losing money. Just like they are losing it with the whole Training thing
Okay so what does this all mean. 1. Someone walks in with an unlocked iPhone they have the sims to offer you the same shitty slow service as always. With likely no discount because they aren't subsidizing anything 2. If you ask about the iPhone with intent to buy one they will pitch their other phones that they get a commission on. So how is this something new. We could have guessed they aren't getting the phone due to the spectrum issues.

While the legalese says that, if I give the password to someone else there is nothing stopping them from accessing those files. They can even change all the details on the account with the only block being linking it to an existing Apple ID. So in a practical sense, whomever I pick gets my library

The uk reports could also just be seasonals hired in and around London for expected increased Others could be folks being cut cause they were repeatedly late for work etc. A kinds of reasons other than the implied greed or financial trouble
