@itsgoodtobeme 40 minutes of sun without sunscreen? yesss! when did 15 minutes become the norm, when up until modern times, without sunscreen we were OUTDOORS in NATURAL LIGHT..
how about 60 minutes, before 10 and after 4, and THEN you put sunscreen on
its funny, were getting more KNOWLEDGE but not more WISDOM---obesity is nothing but lifestyle changes 80% of the time
It used to be that women wouldnt get fat until their first baby usually, and men would work off much of their fat until age 30, but the reason kids are getting fat, IMO is they cant ride their bikes for hours on a saturday anymore because of perverts. Bike riding is one of the best things you can do
The only people on saturdays riding bikes are adults
@mzsunshine in that trailer....the silver haired older woman has got to be one of the PRETTIEST PEOPLE i've seen in a LOOONG TIME
@Kels @Toni_M because HOLLYWOOD made it standard, with the peroxide that came out in the 20th century.
Before that, it was the redhead, and she wouldn't go outside and burn (before sunscreen), so she would stay porcelan white
@Karla in some ways, the colorism thing is similar to the hair color thing with WW
Do you remember, that when some whites had blue eyed blonde girls, and then brunette brown haired girls, the blondes would be treated differently? It's similar to that
When black women marry outside, there is no competition with colorists, similar to black men going with white woman, not worrying about eye color, or hair color( some of that may come from Grimms fairy tales, the blonde being pure, the darkhaired being 'evil)' probably because many white babies and toddlers were blonde
I LOVE IT when dark chocolate girls end up marrying outside their ethnic group!
I think the picture of the couple at the head of the article is cute andshe is very pretty, BUT i wish she had a cute white bra or midriff top on, when they are holding each other. The GAT-DL crowd would have a field day with this one otherwise
@tonyrog Youre 78. so you were born in the mid 30s--you had it rather ok when it came to male/female relations and not a Hugh Hefner or his ilk type
You have seen when women liked doors open for them, before THEY GOT MAD AND RUINED IT FOR THEIR GRANDDAUGHTERS
Now we have to go out to be found by men who weren''t ruined by foolishness and drugs, etc.
@Browncow @DWB oooh if hes a cute hunker blond guy, she is probably concerned. She may have an older daughter and wonders how her daughter could find a nice guy like your husband..@:D.
@Toni_M @Lannie mmm the RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS... my husband sang that song to me when we got married.. :D
@onmywayup @Toni_M @Lannie I was just listening to what my 14 yo was at the time..i actually think it was 5 years ago, since she was still in junior high
@Lannie Yes, i didn't like that about the Tyler Perry type movies either. The BM who makes good money, being the stuck up one, while the one who is a blue collar worker, barely getting by while shes educated, and that's the one she'll pick..
It reminds me of that song i-n-d-e-p-e-d-e-n-t (she got her own house, she got her own car) and that other one "dont got no money, dont got no blah blah blah" and she'll repeat in the chorus...'baby its ok take my love its free" etc...(forgot the song) it came out 3 years ago.
hmmm i hope he wont be your fiance for long.....you guys need to put rings on each others fingers.
College is where most men and women meet their future spouse
@DU2 hmmm white america and assimilation?
How about other non black cultures whom are doing quite well--they assimilated, until they' jumped ship' because they have intact families--you have to assimilate to a degree before you could go out on your own...
@Optimize how old are you BTW? if you are in your 20s or 30s its rare to hear from such a guy who knows what hes talking about....that means you were very young before the rap music mainstreamed.
I for one didnt think it would form its own genre, and just be a fad because its so destructiveto women whom i thought were so liberated--, street is nothing to glory in and can be worse than the old time blues
@The Working Home Keeper @tracyreneejones @Brice Cameron Also, when you are home, you could supervise what they watch on the web, or tv--usually, and before age 5, its hard unless you have grandparent help...im not into daycares for little kids because there arent enough adults to monitor those rugrats...LOL
@Brice Cameron @tracyreneejones It is better,(50th ANNIVERSARIES-and supposed to be a holiday for the two of you--'/ve been to a 60th anniversary party before) its why you should choose wisely:
What supposed to happen: you marry and then have 2.5 kids, you send them to college or trade school, then, THEY get married, and give you GRANDCHILDREN you could SPOIL...LOL....with another couple around Christmas time, since they will be grandparents too
hmmm whatever happened to anniversary parties anyway...remember, on the 1st, you get one gift, on the 2nd you get something else,
On the 25th you get silver, on the 50th you get gold, etc,
Music is powerful: just BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU LISTEN TO.....Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, just wont cut it.
I'm always on my daughter..LOL when she starts singing the songs of theirs;its almost a flip of the 1950s in some cases----i critique their songs. One is from Erykah or Jill.".i jus' wanna cater to you---ill put yo hair up baby---
And we know what kind of guys they end up with, and how they are treated-
I'm being 'redundant as heck' but i blame C/RAP music.......95% is/was anti women.
If you go back into the 1950s, many of the songs people listened to in High School were about ROMANCE, which maybe led to marriages, perhaps too early, but guys wanted to get married, maybe the sex was easier, and/or holidays like Christmas was fun
Since the late 60s and starting with the early 70s, the songs stopped being romantic, sensual, and started being more sexual in nature, with not one word about 'i love your body and want to put a ring on it' etc.
By the late 1970s, it was downhill, except for 'some' country music (not all they do is good either)
Today, its reversed, the WOMEN are singing LOVESONGS to MEN and no MEN towards WOMEN
Don't forget: the men finds the wife, and the wife must be in a position to be found.
PS.....i'm over 50, and was one of the youngest in my set of relatives. I was also used to hearing older people saying "back in nineteen......" LOL
@Titoblackmon Are YOU educated as well?! most women want security, and this rash of uneducated or slightly educated men(except some asian types) of all races, makes it hard.
Women marry up, usually or 'across' we dont like marrying 'down' because we know deep down we love little kids around
It used to be, you got married after 21 to a guy similar in education to you, or the guy is a blue collar worker (mechanics make good money) you run a business together, 'mom & pop store or grocer' you have 3+ kids, then when they marry, the GRANDKIDS would be around you and you 'spoil' them, with another couple
