@Longstroke The Achilles tendon is named after Achilles, who was a Greek god. By definition, Achilles himself is a superhero. So basically this is an incredibly stupid statement.
That's not really homophobic. It would be like him saying "I'm no Shaq, I'm short."
Once again, nice try by Skip. Clearly he's trying to bring in a guest that is way out of his show's league. That show is trash, and the only athlete guests appearing on there should be backups and retired players. There's no way a legit superstar like Durant should waste his time with Skip.
@23kicksfor23chicks the rest of who? I don't see anyone else on this thread saying anything close to what I said.
Too bad the quality is gonan be trash.
Took an ugly shoe and made it even uglier.
@VladimirMatyukhin $378? Damn dude, you got raped. I agree that they crack way too easy, but you're crazy if you paid $378 for a pair of the 2011 black cements.
Honestly... "Nike Air" on the back isn't an improvement. That's just a matter of preference.
Perfect candidate for a sole swap.
If he moves to Li Ning, he becomes almost irrelevant in the sneaker industry. Then again, no one was lining up to buy those garbage Fly Wades anyway. If Wade was smart, he'd stick with Jordan Brand, but do what Ray Allen and others do. Forget your own personal signature shoe, just rock sick retros PE's all day every day.
Solid article, other than the plethora of grammar mistakes. When making an object plural, you don't need an apostrophe. i.e., "fakes," not "fake's." Thank me later.
These are terrible. The only good thing about them is the elephant print soles. If they just left it to that, or put small small elephant print hits here and there, it would have been much better. Maybe just around the toebox and heel, like the 3s.
These are insane though. Absolutely sick.
I'm pretty sure "highly slept on" is code for "garbage."
Wack.
Swap Skechers and Reebok pump, and maybe I'm with you.
That's ridiculously stupid. But someone will buy it, probably for around $1000. Because some of you are just that stupid.
No, actually everything I said isn't flat wrong. It's entirely based in concrete fact. You merely want it to be wrong because it doesn't support the conclusion that you have determined that you want to reach, regardless of facts.
Did he not complete more passes to Ty Law than Marvin Harrison against the Patriots? Did he not get shut out against the Jets? Does he not have 9 playoff losses in which he threw 1 or less TD? Do the Colts not expect more from him? Are they not built in such a way that they need more from him?
Tell me where I'm wrong.
My point is that Manning's playoff record sucks because he's not doing his job.
Brady's average points in playoff losses: 18.83
Manning's average points in playoff losses: 14.2
And the way the Colts are set up, they've historically relied on Manning far more than the Patriots relied on Brady, until recently.
If he wants to be the franchise player, and the guy the team depends on throughout the regular season, he can't suddenly shrink in the playoffs, as he has done EVERY SINGLE SEASON.
Give me Peyton in the regular season all day... but I'd much rather have Eli in the playoffs. Or quite a few other guys. Peyton just doesn't get it done in the clutch. Couldn't do it in college, and still can't do it.
How many of these losses were a product of the offense scoring an extraordinarily low number of points? Hint: Many.
You can try to absolve the blame from Peyton Manning if that's how you want to guide the discussion, but losses like their 41-0 loss to the Jets were just as damning for the offense as they were for the defense.
You can excuse away the losses to the Patriots by saying almost no one wins in Foxboro, but that doesn't change the fact that Peyton threw to Ty Law more than he threw to Marvin Harrison.
Colts point totals in playoff losses during the Manning era: 16, 17, 14, 0, 3, 18, 24, 17, 17, 16
When your team is built to depend on the QB to win games, the offense HAS to score more than that.
The funny part is that Manning's playoff record SHOULD be worse, but their Super Bowl run was engineered by some fantastic play by the defense, who completely bailed him out when he was mediocre at best during that entire run.
