And how is there no mention of those Sportscenter LITERALLY had an offensive foul as a Play of the Day...the TOP play of the day earlier this year. In a close game, a player went for a showboat dunk rather than dishing off to a teammate on a 2 on 1 and was called for the charge. But because he also dunked the ball emphatically and taunted his opponent (who was ecstatic over his ability to cause the turnover) it was the top play of the day.
Make no mistake about it...they were celebrating the dunker...not the defender who drew the charge. So to ESPN, an offensive foul (a turnover) in a close game that was caused by nothing but a selfish need to show up an opponent...was the BEST play of that day.
THAT is why anyone who actually PLAYS sports stopped watching ESPN long ago. EVERYTHING that is wrong with sports today was brought about by the ESPN mentality. Before the ESPN generation took over the rosters of pro sports, any news on a major athlete getting arrested for ANY crime was huge news. A felony was virtually unheard of. But today, if there isn't a felony charge for some athlete at least once a week, THAT is newsworthy.

@gdub2000 I love how you think you are special because you stopped watching Sportscenter in 2010.
@WryEraseBoard Sorry about your lame blog, but I think most people just assumed he was making a pun on UGLY. The fact that you interpreted it another way is YOUR problem. But me...not being homophobic, immediately thought of ugly when I read your comment. Not at all fag.
Who the hell sees it all too often? I don't know ANYONE that has watched Sportscenter since the internet really took hold. Or basically since the team of Olberman and Patrick went away. And that bar that has softball on three TVs did not have Sportscenter on. They had some other sporting event on and never turned it.
OK..I know you are a crappy blog...one of the crappiest, in fact...but who the hell is calling for expansion? NO ONE with brain is thinking that that is a good idea. Not in this economy with so many CURRENT teams struggling. What MLB (and the NHL...maybe the others as well) should do is CONTRACT. Any team that can only afford payrolls of $40 million or less obviously will never put a competitive product on the field. Time to go.

I guiess you are too stupid to see where the OP said "nukes or no nukers" and compared a strike to the Iraq Shock and Awe campaign?

IT's not a phenomenoa in the US at all. Just because Apple and Google are planning wearable computers does not mean anyone is going to buy them.

How is that better? OH! I see...you are one of those ESPN era fans that has never actually PLAYED basketball..or any sport and htink that meaningless dunks with 45 seconds remaining with our team down by 15 is worthy of a showboat taunt.

Oh geez...yet ANOTHER instance of yardbarker being ignorant of sports...which is odd for a sports blog. (Well...I guess for a blog it is not odd at all.)
Sad that you mistake state of the art training, using the lighting to help capture the motion of him lifting weights to analyze his form with some weird thing done just for looks.

I love it when people like you embarrass yourself. Even Detroit would be considered upper middle class in all those third world countries that you talk about.

That depends...are Americans going to wise up and run all unions out of the country? Because that is why the manufacturing jobs LEFT in the first place.

OR maybe it is just that there are some idiots who still don't understnad the obvious concept that sarcasm does not come across in print.

They're afraid of WORMS, Roxanne!
No...he didn't go too far since he WASN'T in blackface.
I hate to bring FACTS into this but "blackface" is not "white man impersonating a specific black man in a way that in no way pokes fun at him" Blackface is a VERY specific usage of exaggeratingly slathering on pitch black pancake make up (or usually shoe polish) and making exaggerated stereotypical racist portrayals of black people.
Billy Crystal didn't do this.

Uhhhh..moron...Ross Perot was a BILLIONAIRE! Ron Paul just got embarrassed when his last Moneybomb turned out to be a Moneyfirecraker getting less than 1/5th what he wanted.
With the money Ron Paul has left, he could get MAYBE one informercial airing...on a local channel...really late at night.
Talk about all your eggs in one basket.
