@Bones7 I respectfully disagree. Haven't you seen him with the puck and on the rush? He's been making plays with and without the puck. The kid can play. I think his defense needs work, but doesn't almost every rookie? I don't think he looks out of place at all.

@J_CKfor30 That lineup looks pretty sick. We'd never have scoring problems.

@J_CKfor30 True. RNH is definitely on the upswing of his career compared to someone like Staal, would be fun to see him in the lineup. Anyways, it's always fun to imagine these things.

@J_CKfor30 Just some crazy speculation here, but what would you think about Brass/Hags/Prospect for a #1 center? Maybe E. Staal? Then we'd have Staal/Stepan/Hayes as a 123 punch.

Don't get me wrong, I understand when people say Duclair could use another year of seasoning in the juniors, but c'mon. The kid can obviously handle NHL play at the ripe age of 19. He has 3 assists, +4, and drawn some penalties in his first few games as a Ranger. What else did the doubters expect? Like 10 points in 4 games? In all honesty, if he gets sent back down again he's just going to spend another season dominating inferior competition. I actually think keeping him in the NHL is better for development. He's going to be facing stiffer competition and learning from veterans. His defense could use some work but what other rookie's wouldn't? He's a legitimate threat every time he's on the ice, you have to find a way to keep him.

@matt1977 If he's sent down he has to stay for the season.

I have the gut feeling we will end up re-signing him. The real question is, how are they going to re-sign everyone this offseason? If you do the math, the Rangers probably won't have money to re-sign myself, Staal, Zucc, Marty and Hags. Especially if Duclair continues at this pace, who's the odd man out? Also, who comes out of the lineup when I get back?

@Zelrio It's only been 4 games. I'll be worried if it's game 20 and they're still doing this.

@J_CKfor30 Never said I was anti-Hunwick, but I'd like to see them give the kid a chance. And -2, huh? I'm sure McIlrath didn't turnover the puck in his own zone which led directly to 2 goals like Kostka did.

Bring up McIlrath. There's NO way he could be worse than what we witnessed from Kostka tonight.
