I find it hard to imagine. Not only because of how the story will relate to the maain show and such, but because RTD writing something big like a movie while not being the showrunner is just not likely. Even if altering contacts comes into play, I just don't see it.
Then there's the detail of how successful (or unsuccessful) it may be. I doubt younger audiences would be appealed to any actor pre-Eccleston starring in the lead role, and if it was canon, that may affect sthe show somehow if it was a cinema- only fature.. The '96 movie flopped, the 50th succeeded because it was an eventful episode that could still be seen on TV.
Putting money into a cinema-exclusive film, starring a lead that young kids (regrettably) wont necessarily want to see, all the while not having it tie-in to the actual show just wouldnt work, I dont think.
Russell, just write an episode. Please! XD

It's a recurring article series, written for enjoyment purposes and to conclude if the science in said episode is in any way plausible. It's not taking the fun out of it, it simply analysing the science to evaluate the factual accuracy - it's not saying 'the science is wrong, this episode is downright errible'.
Why not have a little more respect for the author, who wrote all of this purely for everybody's enjoyment?
"I'd care for this article" was a, frankly, ignorant remark.

This... just. Yes. NIS isn't my favourite and it's not an episode I often want to watch for the hell of it, but the highlight was definitely Matt's performance!

Clockwork Droids for me. The Cybermen and Daleks have become predictable, so seeing a monster that hasn't appeared in a whole was a nice change, not to mention they were handled brilliantly.
I did enjoy the Cybermen's appearance a lot more this time 'round. First Cyberman story I've thoroughly enjoyed since S02.

Must say, these last two categories have been difficult for me. We've gotten a lot of talent out of S08.

@The Dreamer... dreaming about series 9 Ever given Edge of Destruction a watch? An underrated episode, I think. It highlights a lot of the casts talent in bringing to life a thriller-esque story, structured with a suspense-driven mystery of sorts.
It's one of my favourite Hartnell-stories.

@Master No More @TARDlSkey @DawnTime Also, you've twisted the context of the quote too. He said "I''m not the Master, I'm not that evil Time Lord who rules the galaxy, I'm just in Tesco with my kids. Leave me alone!"
He may have a direct response to the part, and maybe the recognition the role supplies can be overwhelming, but he's also admitted to the role being great fun and he wouldnt mind a discussion about reprising it if he was wanted.

@Master No More @TARDlSkey @DawnTime him being sick of everybody asking the same questions?
@DawnTime That's actually untrue. He already expressed interest in returning to the role before S08 began.
Peter Ferdinado for me . He gave a chilling and incredibly authentic performance for the Halc-Faced Man. Tough decision overall, though. There's a lot of great actors listed there!

"A programme can’t have its fiftieth and then its tenth. I think that’s just confusing." Just defined Doctor Who in one sentence ;)
Honestly though, it's such a shame that he won't come back for a one-off at least. There was always a part of me that hoped he was waiting to return to do something - even anything little - for the 10th Anniversary. I admire and respect his decision of course, but it's still a shame.
Best of luck to him, however! Maybe the BBC will broadcast a look-back or some other kind of special on BBC Three? We'll see, I guess.

He still proved that he knew, and he didn't exactly come across as shocked when Martha gave him that speech before she left.

@stargazer0118 @TARDlSkey @supermoff @Notsosmartguy "She fancied me"
I'm totally glad she's staying. I still feel we haven't seen the end to Clara. There's just this atmosphere around her that feels like there's something unfinished. Not to mention she's a mix of what makes a companion great: care, empathy, eagerness, curiosity and even the hint of selfishness.
I often find it harder to let go of a companion rather than a Doctor, personally. Because the companion is essentially us in this world.
@stargazer0118 @TARDlSkey @supermoff @Notsosmartguy But he acknowledged the fact that he was aware of Martha's feelings towards him. It wasn't that he was oblivious to her, he chose to act the way he did.
@stargazer0118 @supermoff @Notsosmartguy Ten was an incredibly caring and empathetic Doctor. Which is why his ignorance and treatment towards Martha was just bad.
@stargazer0118 @supermoff @Notsosmartguy It's definitely more logical.
@stargazer0118 @Notsosmartguy There's a difference. That's Twelve's personality and character. Ten just acted ignorant.
@stargazer0118 @TARDlSkey @Notsosmartguy And given the writer is also in charge of the Doctor's character, that point just became irrelevant.
@stargazer0118 @Notsosmartguy Just as Clara really matters to the Doctor and some don't like that?
Exactly! It's one of the reasons I love the character so. He could be a character hidden right in front of us and we wouldn't even know.

3 weeks, 1 day ago on The Impossible Girl: An Impossible Theory
I have to admit, my main reason for hoping there's a strong dream-theme (heh, rhyme) going on is because I want the Dream Lord to be involved, due to him being in my top 5 favourite villains.
@Planet of the Deaf @The Lazy Cat Is Owner (Clara) Searching Don't underestimate Missy's very careful and specifically mapped out-based-on-chance-mostly planning.
@The Lazy Cat Is Owner (Clara) Searching I truly think Moffat set-up a sub-plot with the TARDIS/Clara relationship but never concluded it. Either that or he intended to fit it into Clara's arc by making her a time anomaly due and having a poor connection to the TARDIS.
Similar to how Amy saw a picture of herself holding her daughter in Day of The Moon, but when the time came in AGMGTW, the picture played no part in either relevance or possibility to the plot's events.
Nicely pieced together. But... damn. There'd be so that's been rewritten. I do think a dream is definitely part of a bigger picture, but I don't necessarily think it stretches as far back as assumed.
Still interesting to consider though :P

1 month ago on Rate & Discuss Last Christmas
@madscotsmandoctor I thought they defined the subject a bit too forcefully in regards to the fact young children were watching myself.
I understand not much may justify how your son may be feeling, but in time he'll find more to appreciate about Christmas than Santa. Family is mine, and though children want such a figure to believe in during such an age, I can see how some parents may not take too lightly to the episode.
However, it is a science fiction show at the end of the day, and the Doctor has alluded to himself being father Christmas in the past, so I wouldn't say the idea of Santa is at all totally tarnished.
@Edoe @Doctavarium Christmas is Over the Moon @joseffwilliams If I had a pregnant Karen Gillan as a wife or a Jenna Coleman in a nighty in a dream, it's a dream I'll happily die for XD
I'd be screwed if I were in that situation. Daddy like to sleep.
@DaveGillett It's not my favourite either. I'm mostly drawn to the Doctor/Clara relationship tonight which I thought was pretty magnificent.
I'm around a 7/10 right now, based on the characters alone. One of the reasons I like Christmas specials is because they're often character pieces.
@TonySimmons Cheers! I will.
@Yawn Then don't watch.
@TonySimmons "wish some of them would grow up" said the guy defending an opinion by referring to any other as bitching...
@Master No More Or an allusion to Santa's existence or whether it was real or not.
Assuming it's referencing Gallifrey as a "definite" is a bit of a stretch... :P
@Yawn I'd reply, but given your username is yawn, I'm pretty confident your a troll. In which case, I don't expect to see you here much longer. Bye, bye. Merry Christmas :)
@3rdDalektotheLeft - minion of D.O.C.T.O.R. @TARDlSkey So many potential things... Danny being alive, Osgood being alive, the Master still plotting. I don't know. But I can feel a major-Moffat-plot going on
@Handles @Planet of the Christmas Pudding Brains @TARDlSkey Moffat trickery is so at hand.
@3rdDalektotheLeft - minion of D.O.C.T.O.R. @TARDlSkey Seems to be. He mentioned earlier in the episode that he's probably on the TARDIS, but both times he woke up in the exact same position in an extremely similar place to Dark Water.
