I'm going to toss my cookies. I haven't even had any cookies. In fact, I'm going to go home and have cookies, just so I can toss them!
I think they work well, but only in the sense that the show needs that aspect to retain the interest of casual viewers. If it allows further development for characters too, then I'm all for it. But I'd say the show relies more on other aspects rather.
2 days ago on Moffat Explains “Clara Who”
Regarding the little character drive, I completely disagree. Series 8 was completely character driven. Yes there was an emotional drive and yes the overall structure returned to casual adventures apposed to fundamental plot arcs, but that's not a bad thing. I personally prefer film/television based on the characters. The story can have next to no point to it, but if the characters drive the narrative then I'll still enjoy it. And I think S08 is perhaps one of the most character-driven series aside of S01/4/6.
Also, it kind of bugs me when I see people criticise Clara's characterisation this series. If we didn't have enough complaints she was wooden an underdeveloped last series, now we're getting the 'she's too different' complaints. Agree with her actions and choices or not, but that doesn't make her characterisation bad. In fact, the more she lied to Danny the more I got invested because it developed her character. She lies now to even the people closest to her. That just screams potential for future confrontations/twists. What's to complain about?
Nice response, and with great depth. This is why I like Clara. We've had a number of companions who have been capable of matching the Doctor, but not quite like Clara. She combines the authority and maturity of all the great companions with the eager, adventurous, wise arseness that we see with most of the common companion archetypes.
Love her or hate her, she's here right now and I'm glad for it.
It looks beautiful on my phone. Finally, no scaling to read/post comments. <3

Uch. Finally got some free time. I'm going to kill myself at this rate.
Anyway, been giving some Christmas specials a rewatch - which is sort of getting me in the mood - but the best thing about it that every Christmas, whenever I watch a Doctor Who Christmas special and no matter how old, I feel like I'm seeing it for the first time. Still can't get enough of The Christmas Invasion. One of my personal favourites!

Moffat's face in that picture is just brilliant XD Couldn't be less jolly and festive :')
Very intriguing hints. I'm really eager to see how Santa's handled. I don't like the idea of them confirming him to be real, but I kind of want it because it is Christmas afterall. But I hope they do come up with a very Doctor Who solution that I can accept. Can't wait to see Nick in action!

Hello, Weird & Wonderful. How I have missed you!
An excellent addition to return with too! That Guardians poster is pretty amazing. I saw the Lego video a couple of weeks back, and it just gets better. Hope to see more in future from the creator!

2 weeks, 4 days ago on Who is YOUR Doctor? The Results
@MrRazza, Lord Tony of Blackburn Peter was mine. The first classic adventure I saw was The Five Doctors and Peter was one of the best parts for me!
Chris is my Doctor in the sense that he introduced me to the show and the character.
David is my Doctor in the sense that he made me fall in love with the character
Matt is my Doctor in the sense that he made me incredibly happy and was pretty much the highlight of three years, which were in fact a pretty bad time for me.
Bill, Patrick, Jon, Tom, Peter, Colin, Sylvester and Paul were all my Doctor in the sense that they made me truly fall in love with the show and everything it stands for, and pretty much created the basis of which my life genuinely revolves around. Without Doctor Who, I honestly don't think I would be the person I am today.
They're all my Doctor for many different reasons. It's hard for me to narrow it down to one Doctor based on one reason XD
@NSSG&SMAF Quite an ignorant comment, to be honest.
So Guardians of The Galaxy is now my favourite Marvel movie. I'm so much like Quill/Star-Lord, it's creepy.
My only niggle with the film is Ronan. He feels too cheesy at times, but then again, that's part of what makes the film great.

I don't take notice of papers regarding Doctor Who anymore. To me, every report that revolves around rumours or "inside sources" just reads blah, blah, blah

Meh. Sounds like bit of an excuse tbh. I really hope they don't come back next series. They need a break. Their frequent appearances are killing them.
As he just said, a year is an eternity. Well, that's good isn't it? You don't want anybody to expect them to appear. You need it to be a surprise, so that it carries some weight. So that people will be relieved their back rather than looking at the telly with a blank face.
Please give them a break!

@Master No More @supermoff No, I think they just wanted a comedic small person to play an elf who's already appeared in the show numerous times. XD
Interesting. Definitely intriguing to see a slight hint of what we can expect from the Doctor and Santa relationship.
Now there's a sentence I never in a million years thought I'd say. Still can't believe I just did.

@TheOncomingHurricane @TARDlSkey @The Finn SAY THAT AGAIN! Say that again, and know that I will ssssskiiiiiiinnn you.
@The Finn @TARDlSkey I will burn you. I will burn the heart out of you.
Funnily, each Doctor so far has had a style that's suited me during their era. With Chris, I actually wore a lot of leather jackets when I was younger - even before I watched Who. With David, I was already into converse and I always liked the idea of wearing a suit when I was older. Matt came about and I was in a faze of wearing absolutely anything, even if I looked like a mug. And now with Capaldi, I tend to dress quite casually smart with a sort of 'classic' vibe to it.
God, I hope the next Doctor doesn't pull a Six....
@TheTimeTraveller is excited for Christmas I was first to comment after everyone else already did... does that count? ;)
Also, happy anniversary! Great to have known you for the last two years and hopefully many more to come! :)

@The Administrator is Missy Claus! The Unquiet Dead
I just found the concept of dead people coming back to life (this was before I actually came to familiarise myself with zombies) really creepy.
@The Administrator is Missy Claus! The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
No time? Small budget? Trying your best to make something turn out great despite the difficulty and stress? I so know where he's coming from.
When people complain and hate on Moffat because they didn't like an episode or whatever, they have to realise, they're not helping to inspire him. If all you see is somebody continuously trash your work and the effort and commitment you've put into it, wouldn't you feel like giving up? I respect Moffat so much for carrying on and doing all he can to make a great viewing experience for fans; even if it doesn't turn out to be what some had hoped.

He also told Rose that he is Santa, so I think his existence throughout the Whoniverse varies :P
Why some people continue to question why Clara doesn't recognise Missy bewilders me. Is it really that hard to come up with the solution that's slap-bang in our faces?
Do you remember the face of that person who served you in the shop three weeks ago? How about over a year ago? More in Clara's case.
Missy wasn't even close to significant in Clara's mind. What reason would she have to remember her face? When the Doctor asked who gave her the number in Deep Breath, Clara responded in a way that sounded as though she completely forgot until that moment.
1 month ago on Death in Heaven Review (Part 2): Questions, Questions
Every time I rewatch the "I'm not a good man" scene, I always feel as though Twelve has finally clicked into place. There have been times where he's felt inconsistent IMO. Sometimes he was overly harsh, then he seemed nice enough that his harshness previously was questionable. But during this particular scene, as soon as he smiles - with the updated version of I Am The Doctor playing in the background, I just feel like... here's the Doctor. "With a screwdriver... passing by. Learning." I love this scene because it's so Doctor-ish. And I find it fitting how it occurred in the finale, during his "darkest hour".
@sontaran17 is being upgraded Dream Lord.
...Well, I can dream... PAHAHAHA! :|
With dreams apparently being part of the Christmas special - and Twelve's skepticism of such myths as Santa - I bet we'll be lead to believe he's a false creation with a lot of cheese to back it up but then the ending will conclude with him actually being Santa afterall.
I have such a strong feeling that will be the case since it is a Christmas special in the end, and they've already made out that Robin Hood was real.
Still not sold on the Santa thing myself. I hope they handle it right in the episode.
