@Scribey @TARDlSkey @TheOncomingHurricane @ClassicWhovian Yeah, he did the Sky Arts Playhouse Presents and he said that directing's really peeked his interest. I'd like to see him branch out to different roles.

@ClassicWhovian I really think the Doctor will be a perfect balance between cold harshness and skeptic comic. The whole scene of him saying, "No damsels in distress, no pretty castles, no such thing as Robin Hood" before the arrow hits the TARDIS, and his reaction, feels like the Doctor will be very balanced which I'm intrigued to see.

So there was some Doctor Who-basing in college today. People were asking others if anybody started watching the recent series to which about four people turned around and said they wouldn't watch such crap. Then my tutor got involved saying he despises it, and to finish off these very words were uttered: "Peter Capaldi just is not the Doctor. Bring back David Tennant". Felt sick during the whole thing.

@LGwalchmai95 @TARDlSkey It didn't really impress me. It didn't seem as if there was any real need to tell the story it told and alternatively, it wasn't a very engaging plot despite. I enjoyed it, but it was pretty 'meh' to me; highlights being Capaldi and the introduction of Danny.

I liked ITD more over two rewatches, but not enough that it's shot up. I'll give it a solid 7/10.

@Calebxy I doubt it is. I think it's an illusion Missy's created to allow the new occupants feel more comfortable and accepting. How do you make people who feel lost and scared feel at home and relaxed? You tell them they're somewhere that has always been made out to be safe and 'perfect'. I actually think something sinister is going on behind the scenes of 'Heaven'.

I hope to see Capaldi mellow slightly during this episode. Not too much, because he's almost perfect already, but I'd like to see his Doctor settle into his body a bit more so that the edge and harshness becomes a natural part of his character rather than being forced in there to emphasise the change in characterisation. I want the harshness to become natural and somewhat funny element of him - with the exception of powerful gut-punches like when he ditched Clara.

Actually, the more I watch this, the more I look forward to it. Looks like a very fun, upbeat episode. I'm interested to see how the Doctor's harshness will play out in this too. The Doctor's skeptical viewpoint on Robin Hood also seems to already setup a load of jokes and laughter that I can't wait to encounter! :D

@The Genie Upon first viewing, narrowing my reaction and overall thoughts down to a rating: 6/10. But I hope some rewatches will increase it. We'll see. 6/10 isn't my final rating however.

@Djornad Tbh, I thought tonight's episode was somewhat rushed. The pace didn't feel as steady as last week's. There were times when it took time to breath which was nice, but the main plot overall felt quite simple and anticlimactic.

Honestly, quite unimpressed with tonight's episode. There were good elements of course, some nice dialogue. But overall it was a let down for even my average anticipation of it. Can't imagine how I'd of felt if my anticipation was as high as Deep Breath.

Robots of Sherwood looks better than I expected, but still unsure. I'm probably so eager to see how Listen turns out, I'm leaving little consideration for the episodes in between. Also, my granddad thinks the show continues to get sillier which is saddening to hear, but oh well.

One thing is definite though, the 45 minute time-slot is definitely proving to be a negative. It needs a boost to at least an hour for definite. The episode does not reach the quality of Deep Breath for me at the moment.

Not fantastic. I didn't really have much anticipation for this episode, and I suspect that if I had, I'd be somewhat let down. But that's not to say it was bad. Definitely enjoyable, great dialogue and dynamics. Just... I guess it lived up to my not-so-high anticipation. 6/10 for now. Early days, though!

Ooooooh, very interesting, given Capaldi's characterisation so far and what it's been described to be. A dark, edgy Doctor will meet fear. I love that. My anticipation for this episode continues to escalate. :D

Interesting. I have to say my anticipation for the episode had dropped when we first got some promo pictures, but it's still an interesting premise and it's definitely something to look forward to in terms of seeing Capaldi's harshness meet with the Daleks.

We'll see how it plays out! At the moment though, I'm predicting a 7 or an 8/10.

@Djornad It's the narration that I find cheesy. I'd prefer the cast/crew interviews mixed with BTS footage and minus the narrator trying too hard to sound exciting.

I couldn't possibly decide. I love both so much. I love TEH because it's more light-hearted and jolly, but DB has more depth and grittiness. I'd say they're both on par for me, actually!

When I was a little kid, I always thought kissing in general was icky and gross and a thing grown ups did. I'm sure most young children thought like that too. So if a young child saw that kiss, do you know what they'd do? What they'd actually, properly do? Ignore it and carry on. Kids... do... not... care.

You want people to respect the homophobic perspective of the argument; to be fair. I don't care if you think it's rude, it's a laughable thing to suggest.

@Polyphase  Doctor Who's been on the TV for over 50 years, 18 of them have been where intimate kisses have been a frequent, popular thing. I don't see why it's justified in other programmes than one that is supposed to be universal in concept and content. Actually, quite literally.

@jsx   Why should DWTV be fair on both sides? There's people being rightfully insulted, then there's defending a small-minded, ignorant perspective. The latter is frankly laughable.

Really, really, really hope Into The Dalek isn't a NIS repeat. With the soldiers and one Dalek turning into hundreds, it seems a similar direction and look how it turned out last time. But given who's writing it, I shouldn't worry too much.
