I rented the snes version back in the day and had to endure the boredom and torture for 2 days.
Back in the day man we'd all get together and work on zelda. The original zelda is a fantastic game because it maximizes the gameplay to the fullest extent possible. Once you figure out you can burn bushes it's a quest to find all the tree covered rooms same with bombs on the walls. Once game genie came out I finally beat it late one night at 1am.
I've been watching him since the ninja turtles episode in 06. Was unemployed and killed a lot of time on youtube back then.
Akklaim was good with Mortal Kombat but couldn't make a simpons game to save it's life.
quezocotl Naw man Legends is a great game. Before I got my nes repaired in the early 2000's it was how I got my megaman fix and it delivers 110%. I loved exploring all through those caves finding upgrades and powering up my shot.
OlDirtyVinceDmDerekShort It depends on your personal preference. 7 was the first title to really hit the mainstream and is a great game so a lot of people list it as the best my favorite is IV as it has the best plot in my opinion and keeps you excited wanting to see what's around every turn.
This game looked horrible back then. Look at a Star Wars game, Crash or the Lost World for the PSX then look at this. I saw this at Walmart when it was new and was like "hell no I ain't buyin' that shit!"
@nomad175 LMAO! So true!
The only LJN games that are playable are friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. My Dad picked Friday up for next to nothing from a k-mart that was emptying it's inventory in the late 80's and I've always enjoyed that one it's a good challenge and is at least a game. Nightmare I traded a friend battletoads for years later (fuck that game level 9 is shit in a cart) and is fun every now and then to play through.

LuisAdrego Naw 7800 was a great console but it debuted 3 years too late. It was scheduled to be released in 1984 during the video game crash. Jack Tramiel wisely chose to focus on home computers and canceled it's launch. If nintendo hadn't (which is now illegal) banned their 3rd party developers from releasing their games on other consoles (which crippled sega's master system as well) and atari had incorporated a decent sound chip into the 7800's design it would have been real competition for the nes. Atari had all of their arcade hits newly updated for the 7800 and it played all 2600 carts.
Love the nes themes going on in the background.
googlejustsucks Zelda went downhill after Majora's Mask. They hold your hand way too much now. I did enjoy Minish Cap but that is the only one since MM that I have had any interest in. What always made zelda awesome was the freedom but it's become more linear as the years have gone by. I always enjoyed beating the early dungeons last in the original and bypassing most of them in ALTTP grabbing an item here or there to help me get through whatever one I was working on.
This is my favorite Zelda because it's so unforgiving and was done as a side scroller. Harder the better as long as the controls are good.
