@TheOncomingSnow @TheSplink @DrOswald The TARDIS is definitely spinning faster, however the stars are in the same positions. Maybe they just sped it up a tad?
I am almost ashamed at how long I've spent examining this scene...

I don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but the shot at 0.47 is the exact same shot used when House is escaping the bubble universe in 'The Doctor's Wife' so either we're gonna see some major timey-wimey this season or the BBC's editing department is getting really lazy.

@DrOswald @TheSplink And the TARDIS shot at 0.22! Its from the series 7 part 2 trailer!
I'm really paranoid now. For all I know, less than half the trailer could be actual S8 footage O.o
Ok, so it seems I'm still in pending-hell on the article chat so I'm just gonna leave this here:
The shot at 0.47 in the new trailer is the exact same shot used in 'The Doctor's Wife' when House is escaping the bubble-universe.
So either the BBC's editing department is getting really, really lazy or we're gonna see some major timey-wimey.
My God, someone whoa agree's with me about Asylum! I'm not alone!

@The Genie I'm glad to see someone being positive about TROA. It was the highlight of S7 and the best episode for Clara so far.
Can't wait to see him in action, I can see him playing an great villain! Series 8 is shaping up to be quite something...

@TheOncomingHurricane @TheSplink @TheBiPunishment Yes but this is less spammy - as I do believe DWTV is plotting against me...
@TheBiPunishment Yes. I do like the...Ben Millers...he good actor...and stuff.
I hope Doctor who wins but its up against stiff competition, the Drama output as of late has been fantastic. And An Adventure in Space and Time was nominated? That's a pleasant surprise, I was expecting the BAFTA's to drift straight by that one.

It's strange to think that Doctor Who has now been going for more than half my life. for 9 years this show has been morphing the way I view entertainment and storytelling. Happy birthday New-Who!
Though we better get more than a few pretty images for the 10 years celebration ;)

Quite right. Gatiss provided two great scripts last season, The Crimson Horror being one of the best of the season and one of the most entertaining 'historicals' of New-Who.

I feel like watching a classic story-arc. Any recommendations?

@The Watchful Guardian Or is the Doctor her Companion?
So does Handles count as an official Companion? He did accompany the doctor throughout half of his time on Trenzalore and the years leading up to it.
I really hope the writers dedicate more time and development to the enemies this year. Last series had some brilliant ideas, but hardly the time to develop them. Next series has to bring some new, iconic enemies to the stage for me to really consider the series a success. Oh, and finding Clara an actually personality would be nice too.
Looking at the BBC's output over the past half-decade I have to wonder how much of it was down to the success of New-Who. If it were not for the success of the revived series would the BBC have had confidence to produce big-budget sci-fi/fantasy shows like the Musketeers, Merlin or Life on Mars. Heck, the success of Doctor Who probably influenced ITV to greenlight Primeval.
This might have been said before, but without the revival British television might have been very, very bland place.
