@tonyc I would as well.  Seems that Nantz and Simms won't be doing double duty, since Eagle and Fouts were promoted for this season, they will call the Sunday games that would be assigned for Nantz and Simms.

I was fortunate enough to find a stream with the ESPN international tv feed.  I started watching the game by the 4th inning and Gary Thorne and Rick Sutcliffe barely mentioned Jeter until the end of the game.  By the 7th inning they presented a graphic and some video to honor Gwynn and they also presented a graphic with the names of Zimmer, Coleman, Welch, Kiner, Fregosi, and after Thorne read those names and mentioned some of their achievements, they headed back to the game, but Sutcliffe said "wait a minute, put that list back on" and proceeded to mention some other achievements of the individuals listed.

It's clear that FOX only cares about the business of baseball, not about the sport itself.  They do not even bother to assemble good broadcasting teams.  I hope that whatever little talent they have left (hard to think of anyone besides Kenny Albert, who I imagine is not very pleased to work there anymore) migrates to CBS or NBC soon.

Man, if team Mexico is capable of achieving any level of success that is superior to what they have accomplished in past tournaments, the media frenzy will be unbearable.  It would be "La Selección" here there and everywhere every day every hour.  The obnoxious bald guy who calls games for the main Mexican network would appear even in the soup.  So far they've had nothing to sell (the media) yet everybody in Mexico loves the team.  What if El Tri really succeeds?

I enjoyed those games so much, the match against Mexico and the one against Germany.  He also did a great job in the Final.   And JP Dellacera and Tommy Smith were a lot of fun too.  They called a game between two African teams that was defined in overtime or whatever it's called, a striker scored a hat trick and I still remember the call by Dellacamera, such a thrill!

The first ever NHL game I watched was on FOX.  I don't remember the teams or the score, I only remember it was Kenny Albert and Craig Simpson calling the game, I was hooked immediately.  John Kelly, another great pbp man.  Great analysts like Micheletti.  Davidson I never really liked, later I noticed Matt Millen was the same style.  ESPN had a great pbp team too: Thorne, Levy, Strader, Ryan.  They would later add JP Dellacamera and even Jack Edwards.  They always had different and talented analysts for their play off coverage, unlike NBCSN who wants to feed us Pierre McGuire in every game they can.

I would like to know what those FOX's reviews are based upon, and also why Aikman and Buck are exempt to those reviews.  If they are unmovable as number one team, Kenny Albert should also be unmovable as number two, even if his partners Moose and Goose are not the sharpest, especially Goose who does not contribute anything to the broadcast, that's no reason for Albert to be demoted, it's FOX's job to give him better partners.  Albert always has the important and interesting stat and comment at the most opportune time, and his calls are concise and emotive.

Now, everyone wants Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts to become number two team at CBS.  While I like them, I think Kevin Harlan is way better than Eagle.  Fouts is just good, but in my view, Rich Gannon is coming up stronger and more passionate about the games he calls.

Sadly, now Marv Albert leaves a lot to be desired in the games he calls, yet everyone keeps talking about Stockton.  Well...

And you failed to mention the strange comments about latino players.  Not only does Piazza say that Latino players should learn English, he goes on to say that there was a mafia-type conspiracy going on against him, which makes me wonder if those PEDs affected his brain too.  Piazza is gonna have an awful lot to explain about that crazy conspiracy theory of his.   Let him hire Jesse Ventura to make a documentary about it, or just blame it on the extra-terrestrials.

Brenamann is way too far from being a 2nd team announcer.  Not even at baseball when he did games with Brenley.  Terrible decison by FOX ... as if they ever made a correct one.

Regarding the Bills statistic, you'd have to consider they also had Fred Jackson as RB, so maybe the stupid one is someone else.

It's amusing how we just came out of a year of the Pitcher and are already well into a second one, and Mr McCarver is coming up with this climate change hypothesis.

Maybe now he has the best excuse for those ridiculous numbers by McGwire, Sosa, Bonds and Clemens, so they can now be indicted into the HOF.

Aik is right.  It's beyond me how people haven't  realized  the ridiculous amount of commercial breaks there is in every nfl game broadcast.  When they do,  they'll just turn off their tvs.

For instance, say a team scores a td, kicks the extra point, we go to commercials.  Back, kick off, commercials.  Back, one play, either a player gets injured, a coach challenges the play, or a team asks for a time out.  Commercials.  back, one play, 2 min warning, commercials.  I've been through all that, l'm not making it up.
