Im scared to be as happy as I am right now
Is this that next gear we keep hearing about?
@OUThunderfan I hope he doesnt use up all his veteran leadership buckets!
Im not sure whos worse, the refs or the announcers
@Unstoppable35 Yea possibly a TO even if CP3 wasn't there. A Perkins shot is never a good choice!
Perkins low in the post against a point guard or Harden contested three.... smart pass!
Anyone know of a stream from FoxSportsSW ?
@Remify @David_MN Harden is playing great ball but I'd still have a hard time saying he is better than Russ
@Watson Yea he is obviously proving the point that he can get assist numbers if he wants to. Not sure why he doesn't play a little more like this normally but he could easily have 20 pts right now if he wanted
Great ball movement in the first half. If we played every game with that movement we would be nearly impossible to beat.
I agree. Having a veteran PG that won't get scared in the playoffs is nice. Plus one that has only averaged 1.2 TOs per game throughout his career.
*be hard to compete with
A small ball lineup of Fish, Russ, Harden, KD, and (insert big here), would definitely being hard to compete with.
@dream catcher @alvarex Plus he has played solid D on Lawson and that gives Russ a break
@courtsense That sounds good in theory but putting together quality bench pieces that can score has proven more difficult for many teams.
@BRY BRY @courtsense I second that. Crazy idea. Then our starting lineup consists of Reggie, Harden, KD, Collison and D12 with little to no bench scoring.... Not as impressive as what we have now...
I have to disagree that the game was decided by the refs. The Blazers lost the game, not the refs, for a few reasons:
1. They could have built and maintained a lead that couldn't have been matched or overcome in one possession. Games aren't won or lost in the last minute if you play better throughout.
2. Even with a block call, the Thunder still have the ball with plenty of time to tie it or win. Especially considering they have one of the best closers in sports.
3. That goaltending call didn't give the Thunder the lead, it just sent it to overtime. The Blazers had the chance to still win the game, but couldn't.
The Thunder didn't play perfect basketball but they did what it takes to win. In the end it is the W that matters.
