@pnagral i find that a respring after closing all background apps it tends to fix the problem, at least temporarily.
@shimerfazil you can use Greenriver siri in conjunction with spire for an almost siri experience. it has most of the basic functionality and is compatible with assistant extensions for a more custom experience. happy siri hunting my friend.
i should note that I'm on ios 5.0.1. Also, siriport.ru website (translated to english) has many of there own suggestions that may prove useful, again, hope this helps. Viva la Siri!
in light of all the not working comments I decided to uninstall my fully functional siriport.ru version and try to re install. after install siriport, reboot, after install certificate, reboot. then using i file var/mobile/library/preferances/com.appleassistant.plist set user, group,world to read & write, reboot make sure location services and siri its self are turned on, start with hammer method imediately, I have her activated again! start to finish it took about 30 min. this definitely works, she just posted my status to facebook, im using an ipod touch 4g. if you want to settle for almost siri, then google greenriver siri and follow there instructions. please note greenriver siri uses google api, and can't do what real siri can, but it is a nice alternative for those still unable to get siriport.ru working. good luck and hope this helps some of you. cheers :-)
@shimerfazil siriport.ru works! I've been using it for sometime now on my ipod touch 4th gen. After following all installation instructions in order to get her working use the "hammer" method. just keep hitting the mic non-stop for several minutes (don't let her respond) after several minutes ask a long question ex. how much wood could a woodchuck chuck.... etc.if she doesn't answer wait a couple minutes then start hammering away again. she will respond, I have successfully activated siri using this method on my ipod, as well as my friends iphone 4. good luck to all!

if you want an almost siri experience then spire with greenriver srever and cert is super reliable. just google search greenriver siri and follow the instructions. it uses google api instead of siri server. good luck.
p.s. did you set user permissions in ifile?
@kelvin_minaj the cert mentioned in the description is the only one that works for siriport.ru once all is installed and rebooted, just "hammer" away non-stop for bout 5-10 min then long question. also make sure location services are on. good luck to you

I've gotten siri activated on 4 devices, my Ipod touch 4g as well as three of my friends and in all cases the "hammer" method worked! you just keep hitting the mic for 5-10 minutes non stop. then immediately ask a long question, i asked how much wood could a woodchuck...etc. Amazingly she responds. it took up to three "hammer" attempts with about a min break in between on two of the devices, but worked every time. If you're still having trouble activating Siri, try the "hammer" method. Keep pounding the mic for bout 5 min. Nonstop, Then ask a long question she will respond!
@devil eye do you need to reboot after reinstalling certificate? she has stopped working for three days now. i want her back ;-)
