Jeremy, When our daughter was younger we took the inexpensive term insurance through the hubby's work and added another term policy. Affordable rates for lots of coverage.

Tushar, I would imagine that when one is seeking a loan,  it's tough to do the due diligence. Finance Fox just started a cleaning business for next to nothing. Pardon the link, but I thought his tale was inspiring. http://www.passivecleaningincome.ca/side-hustler-a-cleaning-geek/

We used to drive around the neighborhoods and look at the lights growing up! A great activity for a nice Jewish family :). Now we just walk around and look. Hiking is great no matter what the season. Merry xmas.

I just posted a screenshot of one year data for my investments in Prosper. I also just opened a Lending Club account. The most important factors are diversification. DO NOT INVEST MORE THAN $25 (or $50) with one lender under any circumstances. AAAMPblog, it's unlikely that all investors will default at once causing a total loss of principle. It took me four years of consideration before I decided to invest with Prosper. I have also spoken with the founder and read their SEC documents (not for the faint of heart). That said, NEVER INVEST IN ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH. If you cannot stand to lose any part of your investment, avoid stocks and corporate bonds and stick with government securities and cash.

Nell, did you visit my 1st garden ever this summer? Your yard sounds like mine. I planted about 5 plants and have a few tomatoes and some basil so far. .... Along with several dead plants.

Wow, that data is so upsetting and depressing. Debt has become omnipresent for those starting out, and it stifles their long term weatlh.
