Jimmer seems to get lost on both offense and defense. No confidence. I hate watching him brick under pressure... And not able to ever make a play on defense.
I don't like Marcus much more either. He gambles a lot and calls his own shot way too often. Gotta play somebody though.
Jimmer just does not have the talent, athleticism, confidence, to be successful in this dysfuntional system.

This team needs the Malone fire, too long have they been allowed to play wrong. It's gonna be rough to change their mindset and culture.
YES! I as a fan, know we are not gonna win a finals.... But compete and play all out. Every time I see boogie jog himself up the court on D.... Ugh.....

Sure I'm out of shape on a computer, but you're boy Jimmer, relative to NBA PLAYERS IS GARBAGE. He may be fundamentally sound, and a good shooter (though I watch him brick and brick), and play his heart out, he does not have the talent or athleticism to be great.
Gay, DMC, IT, have the talent and athleticism, but they don't have the hustle, heart, or urgency to get it done ATM.
I agree almost whole heartedly with you escept.... You don't necessarily need a lanky, jump out the gym, prototypical shot blocker to right the defense.
Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies last year played some phenomenal defense. Zach Randolph and Marc gasol can't jump over a textbook between them. But you can bet they are gonna hustle down the court, communicate, and properly help rotate along with their guards.
***This years griz, after losing gasol, and dumping hollins are another story***
Thorton. I do not like watching him play. Out of all the chuckers on the kings I think he is the least effective.
The offense can be good, and with such a skilled big man in Cousins (scoring and passing), running the offense through him is not a bad idea.
This offense isn't so much the problem. Good things usually happen when they give DMC touches. When they go away from that or people start forcing shots, that's a problem.... But back to the defense...
Players, DMC in particular, still stroll their butts down the court to play defense. Stuff like that is the problem.
We haven't really had a front office or coach that the players respect and a coach that consistently and fairly holds/teaches accountability and responsibility both on offense/defense.
I like Malone. I see what he is trying to do. IMHO, it looks like when I tutor kids. Sometimes these kids have been so used to their crap parents (ugh maloof owners and front office) and crap teachers (coaches, ugh so many bad coaches) when someone comes in to properly guide/teach/discipline these kids properly, they are gonna buck. All the kid knows is junk, and they've been allowed to get away with it. Proper guidance and discipline isn't just about fuming and yelling at a kid.
