This is my gripe; he keeps putting the same people on the floor!!! I’d franchise IT & Cousins ((and that’s a MAYBE..)) because there are times when he should move Demarcus to PF and let Gray use his Corn feed body and clear the paint underneath plus he’s semi aggressive on the offensive boards. Then, ((and again MAYBE..)) use RG as a shooting guard since he kind of sucks on D. Anyway for the most part as I said; I say franchise IT & Demarcus and fill the other 3 slots based on match-ups “per game” unless there is a need to do what I said at the start of my paragraph.

Then in the off time have the Whole Team working on nothing but “D”. Maybe this can break them of their messed up habits.

Look, my 1st statement I was being Facetious based solely on the Coaches outburst {I hope} were only out of his frustration. However imo he should have never ripped the team at least not publicly especially when as a head Coach, the blame game starts with him and his leadership. Still, moving on; I do put the utmost faith in Coach Malone as being the right man for what seems is going to be a daunting road ahead. My only hope is that he was just blowing off steam the other night and that wasn’t a sign he’s giving up and heading for an exit and bailing on Sac.

Also I absolutely do agree everything the both of wrote and adding it’s my belief that this team-this group of players could go down in history as one of the best defensive teams ever assembled. Maybe as good as the 2007 Houston Rockets under Coach Jeff Van Gundy or even better. I do see and have seen glimmers of hope that this is possible even prior to Coach Malone making his way over, simply put_: they could down in history as being BADASS.

I hope this is the new era we get to see for Sac.

Yeap he absolutely was and he took his tutelage under one of the best defensive systems that ever was!! That said this team has quite a few 1st round draft picks most of which he’s had almost a whole year with, so where is the problem then. The players? The coaching??? The answer has to start at the top –they’re failing. Regardless of who takes the court they all act like they don’t have a clue out there. Sure there are moments of incredible brilliance on the court but that’s pure player ability not as a result of great coaching. Which brings me back around to; why a head coach with "Years" of experience courting team that isn’t playing any D what so ever game after game after game. They have to step up and accept the blame, “it starts with them!” Not pass the buck complaining that the whole team sucks. Jeeze that is just wrong in so many ways.

Let’s face it Coach Malone wasn’t hired for his defensive talent and this isn’t rocket science either. If you hire a new head coach known solely for his offensive coaching skill set it also “does” mean the team’s defensive play is probably going to suck or at least wing to some degree. That said verbally & publicly beating up players like they’re the reason why the team’s defense sucks is not the answer especially from a coach that seems to only know how to play offense. I disagree with Coach Malone, he needs to pull his head out of you know where and get with the program. So the answer imo is very obvious, go out and find someone that is known for their defensive skill set and make them an assistant coach. See if he could whip the team into shape defensively because honestly this team has tons of talent to offer given the right opportunity. It’s in the hands of leadership and their guidance as too whether the team either makes it go great; or makes it fail. It’s this simple.
