I'd prefer one of Carcillo or Fast. Fast seems to be more comfortable defensively and makes the smart play instead of trying to make something happen and turning it over like Miller.

Pat Leonard posted either what he believes the lines to be or what the lines will be -- the usual three, Nash-Step-Marty, Hags-Richie-Fast (...Richie is gonna be fucking winded after his shifts), and a 4th line with Carcillo sitting out. I'm not sure what to think of the lines, but considering we don't want to tear apart Zucc-Brass-Pouliot and we wanna keep the 4th liners as 4th liners we have six players to try to mix and match. That's proving to be difficult.

@gravey94 I agree with every point here. If Burrows had still been in the game, send out one of Dorsett or Carcillo to get in his face. The fact Burrows was ejected...there's no point to stir things up. Why goon it up? Just get the W and get out and on to the next game.

@JoeyKocur Yeah. Sure. Bring up Haley. It's not like we're second seed in the Metro division with 91 points. It's not like we're actually winning with the team we have or anything. But sure. Let's shake up the roster for a goon.
@SpazzBrown Eh, it seems like Moore could just about be ready to step in if McD can't go next go. We also have Falk...but...I know that inspires little to no confidence in any Rangers fan that exists.

@SmellyKisio Those two actually played together a significant amount last game. I did like what I saw.

@KevinTheNYRBlog @JoshKaye ...I know. That whole above post was sarcasm.

Zucc hasn't been invisible. In fact, he's been a solid player! Did you see how many times Zucc cleared the puck out of the Flames zone?! I mean hell, they don't even need to play defense! They could just have Zucc pass it to no one and let the puck trickle into the neutral zone.
Best part for the Flames --- when Zucc did complete a pass, he put it right onto the stick of one of the Flames defensemen. Win win for the Flames.
@Josh-CK That (insert any chance from the first period) would have been huge.
@JMK8363 We could use one of those.

"Kreider retaliated against Blue Jackets center Ryan Johansen 13:20 into last Friday’s third period for a blindside hit to the shoulder/head of Rangers teammate Derek Stepan. Kreider and Johansen tussled against the boards after a whistle, and Kreider can be seen on the Fox Sports video shaking his left hand and grimacing when he returns to New York’s bench."
It seems like he was injured defending a teammate. Of course that would happen. We've wanted our guys for so long to stand up for each other and not just skate around like nothing happened. Of course he would injure himself like this.
Just cause Zucc came back quickly doesn't mean Kreids will. We don't even know for sure what's going on with Kreids but if it is a broken hand it depends on what type of fracture it is. Plus everyones body heals differently. We'll see how long it takes but it could be a while.
So. Kreider out one month with a hand injury. This is what we need right now.

@Billfrom Brookhaven @G Wait what? The '80s?
You'd think after 72 games we'd understand we need a man in front of the net at all times. Brass going down on Staal's man left Halpern wide open. It'll be a goal everytime.

So...Step and St. Louis have the flu...see...they share...chemistry together...like I said yesterday...
@iwantgaborik Cause I'm sure Edmonton would do that in a heartbeat. Except they won't. At all.
I can't be the only one who has noticed the chemistry between Step and St. Louis, right? The first few games when they were on the PP together, St. Louis seemed to be looking towards Step with him even scoring a goal. Then last night, St. Louis gave Step three golden chances to bury the puck but had all three attempts stopped by Fatso. Considering Step is one of the few right handed forwards on the team, I'm not sure that this is a coincidence. When I watch Marty make passes to left handed shots, all I can think is, 'Shit if they were a righty that would be such a golden chance.' I think AV has to notice this and, while I hate making changes when we're winning, I think he has to pair Marty and Step together. You could shift Nash to the left side, put Marty on the right and have Step center the two. You can put Kreids on a line with Zucc and Brass or find some other combination.
Speaking of Kreids, what's going on with him? I watch him out there and aside from shoving a few people and skating fast I just don't notice him. It seems like his head is in the clouds and it's kind of annoying and disappointing. I love the kid and he has a lot of talent but we need him to get points.

The whole article is an extremely enjoyable read and sure we can shit on Nash for his play but he seems to have a solid head on his shoulders and knows what to say. Plus, the interview really just seems laid back and relaxed, definitely not the type of interview you'll see from Brooks or any other New York writer. I tried clicking on the link on this site but it didn't work so for anyone who wants to read it:
Also, the last part of the interview says a lot to me involving the captaincy and if he would take it,
"That’s a great question. Haven’t even thought about it. It’s a tough job. It’s not for everybody. I want to win. That’s all I want. If it’s me being the captain, then sure. But we have great candidates here with Marty St. Louis and Brad Richards … but I think Ryan is the true candidate and it’d be a great move for the organization."
It's clear McD should be our next captain. Let's see if they listen.

Fun fact: Kevin Klein has more points in the last five games (4 points) than Del Zotto has during his time spent with the Predators so far (18 games, 3 points)

@KevinTheNYRBlog @JoshKaye I've tried defending this team and their actions for a long while. After last nights game. I'm done. I'm just fed up. They finally broke me down.

It's tough to be a missing piece of a Stanley Cup contender when I'm not even sure we're a Stanley Cup contender.
The no goal call didn't lose us the game. The fact we scored zero goals lost us the game.
