He was already a well-known name publicly from his collaboration with Kanye and Jay-Z and even more so in the music community from his work as a songwriter for Beiber and John Legend

I realize that this too does not truly assess "post" defense but I think it makes a strong point about how effective of a defender Sanders is. Compare his numbers to Garnett, a known defensive force.
