Your cheap marketing ploy to get me to read this post left me feeling dirty and used.
Okay, not really. I read pretty much everything on here anyway. :) And like most, it was both entertaining and thought provoking. I did the SAHD thing for the first year with both of my kids and loved it. I'm glad there was a movement that resulted in my ability to stay home with them, and be at least kind of socially acceptable. :)

I have no problem writing posts like that. lol Lately though it feels like that is all I'm writing about. The hard times, the rough patches, the difficult moments. It can be extremely disheartening to read nothing but posts about how amazing your kids are, how advanced they are, what an awesome parent you are, or how parenting has made you into such an amazing person.
It's nice to know that I'm not alone. It's nice to hear when someone else has had a bad day, lost their patience, screwed up, or felt like a crappy parent. It reminds me that it is okay to screw up, that we are all working towards the same goal, to raise happy, healthy children. But we're human, and crap happens.

I have friends that hike this every year and absolutely love it. One day I'll make it out there and do it myself.
