As a fan of Coach Cal when he was at Memphis and now much more that he is at my Kentucky Wildcats, I say GO Cal and keep doing what you are doing.   I only get to see the Cats on TV so where ever they play I'm happy.  When i was working and wearing my KY gear I had people say to me "Hey I'm a KY fan". and  I might be in Calif. , New Mexico, Fla. or a lot of different part of this U.S.  I know it upsets people that Cal has brought KY back and won a  Championship in only three yrs.  But to them I say  GET OVER IT.

Does anyone know  this nobody "John Pennington"  who wrote this one sided  article about  KY's  Coach and  AD.  This comes from a site that calls it's self  "Mr. SEC".  They should rename to " Mr. Indiana U.".  Or are these people just like so many, Jealous of Kentucky  basketball ??  To that I say, YES.  IU got lucky and beat KY on a last second shot on their home floor this past year but KY return the favor when KY beat IU in the NCAA tour.  NO one but KY fans will talk about what happened at Bloomington this year when KY went there to play.  KY fans were insulted, cursed  just to name a few things in town by  drunk IU people and this went on at the game also.   When the game ended the KY players feared for their safety when trying to leave the court.  UK has been quiet as to the real reason why it doesn't want to go back to Bloomington.  I know why because I  "had" in-laws that lived in that area and every time I went there wearing my KY gear I caught  H**l  from their drinking friends.   My opinion of Bloomington on game day is break out the liquor and let's get rowdy & rough.  Indiana still has a lot to prove before they can say they are a top rated team again.  Win on the ROAD

These  stories about the KY-IU series and who   "chicken out on where it is played"  should be told  in TRUTH.   KY and it's fans do not want to go back to Bloomington and  have to "fear for their lives"  like they did this past year.  What no one including the KY basketball coaches and team have spoken out about how they fear for their safety after the game.  A lot of KY fans have spoken out about they were treated in town and at the arena by the IU fans.   I can speak about how the IU fans are because I used to have in-laws who resided near Bloomington and they had friends who were IU fans and every time I wore my KY gear to their home I caught "H**L..  Plus they were what I call heavy drinkers. I no longer have to put up with those type of people but experience I do have in dealing with IU fans.  So I do not doubt what I have heard about the treatment our KY fans received.  As a fan I would never go back to Bloomington plus we don't need IU.

As a Cat fan  who lives near Memphis and also a Memphis fan I was glad and sad when Cal went to KY.  He has proven that he is one of the top coaches in the college ranks.  People talk about the problems at UMass and Memphis and if a person really checks they will find that he wasn't involved in the violations plus he has letters from the NCAA stating so. Camby has made public statements that Cal had nothing to do with his violations. The NCAA told Memphis Three (3) times that Rose was clear to Play,  The NCAA later told Memphis if they pursued the Rose decision that it wouldn't be to their advantage.   The NCAA is a corrupt organization run by a corrupt person, Mark Emmert and his buddies who single out certain programs to manhandle.  If you program is Duke and your coach is K then you can do what ever and get by with it as with Corey Maggette.  Best thing that could happen would be if the top programs would leave the NCAA and form their own Sactioning Body and tell the NCAA where to go.

Jr. is a man of his own.  He does what he want when he wants the way he wants on his own property.  It'a a shame that  America has gotten to the era where we have to live the way someone else wants us to.  If you own your property then live the way you want.  These people come here from other places and do as they please and our Gov. lets them. It's time we stand up for ourselves

KY haters try everything they can to disrupp the the KY team before the games start but that isn't going to work.  WHY ?  I will tell why,  Cal isn't going to leave the BEST job for a nightmare in the NBA, He has already been that route and it didn't work.  Why go to a job with a bunch of overpaid balloon head ball players.  "All most" all players in the NBA are EGO driven and that is why I, MYSELF do not watch Pro Basketball.  Pro Sports for me is the most over paid Occupation in the world and the reason I do not attend.

If Kentucky was to leave the SEC then the quality of basketball in the SEC would fall to Mid Major level And attendance would would also suffer greatly. Three fourth of the teams in the SEC do not sell out their games in Basketball unless they are playing Kentucky. Now football is a totally different story in the SEC.
