The first preseason game did it for me and my mind didn't change from there on out. Flynn seems unsure of himself/scared or the simple matter the line isn't good enough for him to be a pocket QB. Pryor has huge upside and just needs more time in games. More time= more experience and better results. I haven't been a fan of his since he entered the NFL but 3 weeks ago I realized he gives the team the best chance and actually has an upside. Flynn on the other hand has peaked and just won't cut it with the situation this team is in.

JayHaskins well thought out argument (Golf Clap).... A few of us were talking about Ausberry yesterday on twitter and The General consensus was (keep this in mind I've wanted Aus to start for 2 years).. anyway consensus can't block bad rout runner. Anytime I saw him (catch) a ball on the field It looked like a Man among boys very fast and agile for his size with the ability to throw off LB's and run over 2ndary. IMO if he is a play maker PLAY HIM. If he's not a great blocker then stretch him out into the slot make them pull a LB out of the box then run. I might be the only one but I've been very surprised he hasn't been given a better chance to show case his talent. P.S. he gained around 22 pounds this off-season I believe he's around 262 now bulked up.

I also don't see him being physically strong enough to go 16 games this year .. with his different surgeries etc.. He may look physically fit but it's gotta be a bigger drain on the body that what one could comprehend. Hopefully he gets rotated into the starting line up after game 4 this year.

@AsherMathews @JoshMcDaniels2 Exactly Asher and here is the thing. If this guy can be an actual lock down corner, even if he's a shade under a Darrelle Revis or Champ Bailey. He will give our Defense a massive massive boost. To be able to rotate coverage etc. over to the other side is invaluable. And I couldn't be more excited that Charles Woodson is there to help this young mans process along. I believe that old man once did what we are asking this kid to do ( sarcasm emote here). I'm really looking forward to seeing if this guy can transition to the NFL. I think his second year will be show us what he's made of.. BTW those shots of him sitting 6 yards off and then not getting the ball and letting them get the first down looks bad on his coaches He should have slow pedaled 3 yards back at most you can't go 5 yards back off the first down marker on 3rd downs ..

Great break down of the size and speed in today's NFL and nuances that come with being a CB. Little back ground on me I was 5'11 and 3/4 ran a 4.41 at weights between 195-215 threw HS and College and lead in INTs and 2ndary tackles every year. In my opinion Read and react takes strong precedence over agility not to say that agility is not hot on it's heals. I always played the bait game with QB's but I strongly believe it was because my read react (which may be just like saying instincts were great). HS/College I played in a lot of man (cover 3) so I can say for myself at least when your out there on that island and if your good at it you can kinda feel whats going to happen. It just comes natural. I went to a camp that X NFL Safety Mark Murphy lead back in HS he pointed out great read and react time I had on a pick /wheel route.. He was actually kinda upset because he thought the receivers had given it away .. but I did get high praises from him in private afterwards. I'll end this maybe pointless post by saying DJ Hayden has every Tool in my opinion to be an extremely good CB.. Only knock I would have is I did see him hesitant to finish off some tackles when some one else had the guy stood up, but Deon Sanders said " I tackled every check my momma had" so there's that.

DIon Jordan would be best scheme player could rotate DE/LB which helps with multiple scheme's. I still like Ansah who had huge upside he also had the 2nd best 10yd split the other top two weighed 30/22 pounds lighter.

Great post.. If you think back to those 49er's in years past with Jerry Rice and company how many quick slants, Post routes, corner routes went for TD's it was catch and run football. I see this being the opportunity for our WR's to really take it  up a notch. No more waiting for a chance at a deep ball, now guys can catch any given number of passes and take it to the house.

should have just let saunders stay and run the offense and Allen oversee the defense would have made more sense
