Nice breakdown.  The key question is, do the SEC and Big XII want the ACC to survive?  You also did not factor in whether Larry Scott will get froggy and make another run at the Tejas schools when the Maryland lawsuit proves that a years damages is the most a conference can collect.

A few thoughts about the Yahoo Sports-NBC merger.  Rivals sites are the heart of all this.  They provide the value.

Did the Sporting News Radio acquisition not get it done for Yahoo?  What does this mean for Tim Brando now that he will be CBS and NBC?

Yahoo-NBC should go ahead and acquire/lease/buy the rights to this site.  If they do that they will have 70% of my internet traffic.

What about the PAC-12.  I find it hard to believe that Larry Scott will get left out of this fray.  Don't you think there's a chance the PAC goes for Tejas, OU, and a couple of others again?  Maybe even just try to get BYU and KU to move to 14.

UGA benefits from anyone in front of them losing.  Bama was a must, now we will see if a couple of the others fall.

So, what this really comes down to is whether the TV partners will pay the same or more per school if they go to 12. If so the money from a championship game is gravy. If they can big time these schools like the Big 10 tried to do to Mizzou and did to the Nubs, they can get them to sign as junior members and make even more in the short term. If OKTC is to be believed, none of the money they make will compare to the SEC network and re-negotiated contracts.
