bouy I used the CLI method and had no problems, I have noticed that a ton of people have been having problems with this new "easy way"
bwatson2006 What springboard settings do u use?
bwatson2006 I don't have one in particular, I am fairly new to this stuff. I have my 3gs jailbroken, and have been playing with that. I just want to learn the best stuff to put on here to maximize the power of my devices. I have noticed that my iphone 3gs is a bit laggy since I have tweaked it and changed themes, could this be caused by the actual tweaks themselves, or is this common when running a jailbroken device? Thanks for any input you have :)
NojusLuk Unfortunately that is the risk that you take when jailbreaking any device, don't give up, there must be a way to fix this. Just keep scouring the blogs, and have you tried restoring it to factory settings through Itunes?
bwatson2006 It says that the GUI was not included in the CLI jailbreak, and that jailbreak nation highly reccomends using the new link, but I don't even know what a GUI is lol
bwatson2006 Oh ok, I just didn't want to have any limits on my Ipad2. In cydia do you know if it says that the source is unknown or not avaliable is that because I don't have the correct source added into cydia for the tweak I want?
Ok so I jailbroke my ipad2 yesterday using the CLI for windows, now that the Absinthe link is out, should I redo it? I read somewhere that the CLI was a basic only jailbreak, that it wasn't a full jailbreak. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do?
So if I jailbroke my ipad with the CLI yesterday, do I need to redo it with the new Absinthe link? I read somewhere that the CLI would only do a minimum jailbreak, does that mean that there is stuff I am needing to fully enjoy ipad2 freedom?
OliverLee I get that sometimes on my phone, try plugging it in to the charger or plug it into the computer and restart the computer
agntagain It worked! thanks a bunch for the help!
Thank you so much for all of the hard work that all of the Dev's put in to making this for us!
WoooooHooooo!!!!! So I restored my Ipad2 to factory settings and then followed the video above and yep, it worked :)I am on Cydia right now yay!!!
Ok, so I decided to try one more time and I got all the way to the last part and it says" result too large" after the jailbreak.mobileconfig....any ideas?
ShotaChichua Yes trying to figure out what to do
venkat7065 Yeah I think that is what I am going to do, it can't be much longer before they release it and then I can just click one button and it will be done :) Thanks for you help though!!
venkat7065 oh lol see how computer savvy I am :)
venkat7065 ? what is the rar file?
venkat7065 And I guess it is the default, and I have saved it there so I can't figure out what i am doing wrong
venkat7065 right at the beginning, i guess I am extracting the files to the wrong place. When it asks me where I want to extract them to, there is an automatic file of c://user/shelli/download blah blah and there is the option to browse. Do you know exactly what it should say when I select it to save? thanks
