@glennyboy @arpowers  In DMS 2 we've built on the concepts from 1 and simply added or adjusted features that have been on the roadmap.

With anything else, we've carefully considered the upgrade process and so far people automatically upgrading from v1 have raved about how easy it was...  :)

4 months ago on New packages and pricing.

Reply

@janpeeters  hey there! yup here are your answers...

- I'm currently a DMS Business user. As I understood it well this will become a Standard club membership including access to all current and upcoming premium products. As well as support + updates. But for how long? This is not mentioned... Also for the duration of my current subscription? Like mentioned with DMS Standard?

Answer: You will be grandfathered in to the new club pricing plan for as long as you continue to pay the subscription. Since you'll be getting more products with no 'start up' cost, we think this will be a good deal!

- I'm not able to pay $20 for a monthly subscription. So if my current DMS Standars Club Membership ends I will have to transition to a $99 Standard License. This option is price-wise most near to my current DMS Bussiness with the early adopter reduction that I was supposed to have for the duration of my subscription. The Developer option is also too expensive for me. Will there be any negative consequences for the six websites I have currently running on my current DMS Bussiness?

Answer: Not quite sure what you're asking, but assuming your asking if you can switch easily, the answer is that yes! You'll get access to DMS 2 right away and be able to use it.

Just remember that if you cancel your subscription you'll lose access to club membership as well as updates and support, unless you repurchase the club or purchase the stand alone product.

- How many websites will I be able to run with a $99 standard license?

You'll be able to run on unlimited domains!

@Crispee Probably could be rewritten for a little more clarity. Good catch.

There are cases for both; specifically, the admin editors are going to be a lot more 'professional' as of this update.

@Novare install it as a section under: 'pagelines' > 'store' > 'sections'

@ryanopaz ya there is a bug in our system where the section keeps deactivating..

(i know, i know) I reactivated it...  so you can see it now.

@sharont Not sure, check with the support over at Jigoshop

1 year, 11 months ago on Jigoshop for PageLines

@sharont Sounds related to Jigoshop, PageLines just supports the graphical side of the plugin. Stuff like payment gateways, etc.. are functional thus plugin related.

@FrankKarmeyer i think you might be able to already, that was an arbitrary limit that i dont think was enforced via code (will remove)

@caspersjan if you want to do *serious customization, then nothing beats a little custom css ;)

@RalphGrizzle You have to have PL Plus Membership, http://www.pagelines.com/plus. The stand alone framework doesn't include the plus extensions, and live support stuff.

1 year, 11 months ago on TwinShot

Reply

@RalphGrizzle You should be able to grab it from admin > PageLines > Dashboard > plus panel

1 year, 11 months ago on TwinShot

@Rolf Should be in your launchpad admin (http://www.pagelines.com/launchpad), or install directly through the WP Admin > PageLines > Store

@Kyle Clouse PageLines is the only framework that supports the Section API that I'm aware of...

1 year, 11 months ago on TwinShot

 @Kyle Clouse It's a section (e.g. drag and drop into a template)

@Marat I actually really dig this section a lot! Everyone has a right to an opinion though lol

@Crispee This is for normal web development. You can think of the developer community as "PageLines for advanced users."

@Witte@kensnyder68 Interesting perspectives... I don't see it as a designer I think the ShareBar looks and works great.

The LinkedIn button for example doesn't have a way to set width, so if you don't like that formatting, you don't have to use it...

There are also some alternative sharebars showing up in the Store, so if you guys want to use a different approach there is always that + drag/drop..

LInk: http://www.pagelines.com/store/sections/sharebar-extended/

Its really impossible to make everyone happy, as I'm sure you guys know. We're just trying to make the best, most professional, decisions for you guys.

@Witte They are iFrames and objects defined by the providers... perfect positioning is impossible to attain until the scripts get better (from Google, Twitter, etc..)

@kidrichmond ya the update path is currently on the 2.0 series. You can upgrade, but its a manual process to get stared (e.g. uploading as a theme and activating.. not too bad ;) )

@showpeople That's a strange one. We'll see if anyone else has that issue.

@brothercorvo basic setup is pretty simple.. with bbPress install and activate that WP plugin, then install the free bbPress for PageLines plugin... It will activate options and handling for you..

With BuddyPress install it and the BuddyPress Template Pack; the template pack installs some templates so we definitely recommend using a child theme like Base (where the template pack adds its files)

Once this is done, again install and activate the BuddyPress for PageLines plugin and it should be supported in the framework (e.g. will work and look good!)
