Hey Neill... we beat the Sharks 4-0 the first time we played them this year, not 4-1.

Why do we keep getting coaches who are afraid to play talented kids? Put him in the top nine and let him play!

— In the Traverse (Mich.) City Tournament, Ryan Haggerty (RPI) scored
a goal and Mat Bodie (Union) had an assist for the New York Rangers,
who dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to the Dallas Stars. Haggerty scored on a breakaway in the first period. Bodie assisted on a Kevin Hayes tally in the second.
Brett Ritchie led a Dallas comeback from a 3-1 third period deficit
with two goals and an assist to give the Stars a 4-3 overtime win
against the New York Rangers in the opening game of the Traverse City
Prospects Tournament Friday.
Ritchie, a 21-year-old right wing who is hoping to make the NHL
roster this season, scored with 1:59 left in regulation to tie the game
and then scored at 3:28 of overtime to give Dallas the victory. Named
the captain of the Stars prospects team before the game, Ritchie
finished with five shots on goal and was plus-3.

Not much to show from the town of Are, Sweden, I guess. But It would be kind of cool if he could work in the colors of Sweden's flag. And maybe a picture or two of Eddie Giacomin. ;)

"Definitely lacking homages to his hometown of Sweden or even the City of New York."
Kevin. isn't the Statue of Liberty an *homage" to the City of New York? Or am I missing something here? Oh, and Sweden's not a city, it's a country. ;)
A *power* keg?? I'll drink one of those!! lol
I think it's *powder keg.* :)

Canadiens get Vanek from Ice Dancers for F Sebastian Collberg and a 2014 conditional second-round draft pick.
11 months ago on Rangers Obtain Diaz from Canucks; Send Miller to Hartford
So, we gave up a 5th-rounder in 2015 for another guy to sit in the pressbox?? Maybe there's another roster move we haven't heard about yet....
Why send Miller back?? And where is Diaz going to play? SMH
@Kevin DeLury @RangerBlue It definitely took balls, yeah, but I'm also sort of replying to people like Pierre LeBrun of ESPN, who wrote that the goal would have counted in the NHL. WRONG. :)

In case anyone here needs to go to school on the NHL rulebook (emphasis mine):
"63.6 Awarded Goal - In the event that the goal post is displaced,
either deliberately or accidentally, by a defending player, prior to the
puck crossing the goal line between the normal position of the
goalposts, the Referee may award a goal. In order to award a goal in
this situation, the goal post must have been displaced by the actions of
a defending player or goalkeeper, the puck must have been shot (or the
player must be in the act of shooting) at the goal ***PRIOR*** to the goal
post being displaced, and it must be determined that the puck would have
entered the net between the normal position of the goal posts."
Since Quick knocked the net off its moorings a full EIGHT seconds before Tyutin attempted his shot, the goal should not have counted, either under IIHF rules *or* NHL rules.
In other words, a good call was made in this game, and would have been made in an NHL game. If anything, the refs were at fault for not noticing the net's being dislodged sooner, which would have prevented the whole scenario in the first place.
Just because Callahan gives the team everything he has every night, doesn't mean that's worth $42 million over seven years. It just doesn't. Remember, it's the name on the front of the sweater, not the name on the back. If he doesn't get real, real soon, the Rangers will be a better team going forward if he's traded. Sorry, but Cally spends too much time out of the lineup/not scoring for him to be worth what he's asking.

I would trade Michael Zamboni for PETER Stastny right now, straight-up.

Right now, I'd trade Delzaster for Hugh Jessiman, straight up. Yeah, it's THAT bad.
1 year, 1 month ago on Could Bickel Be Recalled Today?
Yeah, softer than Charmin, and they stink as bad as what Charmin is used for.
Seems to me that if AV had started Talbot yesterday and Hank today, we would've won both games. Just sayin'....
