@claeys @propsizzle @ Luke His main assets are being able to shoot and protect the rim like crazy. We're not taking advantage of that because we're not playing him at the 5.

@propsizzle @ Luke @claeys Most of the numbers are skewed badly by the start of the season. Rebounding down is the only real problem. Lower FTR and mid-range percentage are offset by his three-point shooting. Block rate is unimportant—rim numbers are great and APM metics love him.

The real problem with Ibaka's shooting is that it might be most useful in small lineups. Which we refuse to play.

@claeys @ Luke There's very little evidence to support this

@claeys Ibaka is TSing 2% less than last year since Russ/KD returned, mostly because we refuse to go small. And he's been just as good defensively. This idea that he's worse is a myth.

At least during dark times like these, we can all take solace in the fact that OKC has already produced a championship team—the 2013 Orlando Summer League squad. Hatz forever, baby.

@_justin @ Luke @L0rv I actually liked going after a player like Waiters—who could hopefully provide an amalgam of shooting and shot creation—rather than going after a pure shooter. Hasn't worked out so far obviously, but with Reggie definitely gone, I thought it made sense

@L0rv @ Luke 12 games is far, far too early to say that Waiters is a lost cause. Even with how bad he;s been

I just refuse to think Waiters can be this bad and have Presti convinced he was worth giving up anything for. Still holding out hope he can produce something similar to what he did in Cleveland last year, though I'm not feeling great about that anymore.

@OBoy (LaFamilia) @ Luke He's not great. But this isn't a career year for him. Worse than his last two. Best season was 12-13, 16.6 PER, 56% TS and 41 percent from deep

@_justin @ Luke I'd be surprised if Robes doesn't get weeded out of the rotation come playoff time. Not saying he should, but I think it's coming

@OBoy (LaFamilia) @ Luke I don't love him, but if we get rid of Perk for him, it means at least ~15-20 minutes of small lineups a game I would think. Would be huge

10 hours, 1 minute ago on HammBag: Raw nerve edition

Would Foye be better for this team than Chandler? Neither have been great this year. Chandler means more smallball. Foye means not having to completely turn the second unit over to Waiters. Think I'd prefer Chandler, but there are some arguments for Foye

@LoudCitian @ Luke @Stannis Baratheon What makes him soft? He's one of the best rim protectors in the league and basically played on one leg against SAS last year. What more do you want?

@LoudCitian @Stannis Baratheon How is Serge soft? Soft and "not being able to create a shot" are not the same thing.
