The old white label sun grown was a solid stick.  I'll give this one a try as well.

I'd love to hear how these compare to the current, now regular-production, WCD 120!

I don't understand why lawmakers can't just specifically target the known enemy -- CIGARETTES!  Raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21 if you need to, stop lumping cigars and pipes into the same category!

Lame.  Kind of a tease to open a shop without the cigars, isn't it?

Great review!  I agree on Brown Labels + age.  A freshie is a good cigar, one that's a year old is a great cigar, one with 2+ years can be anywhere from excellent to epic.

I smoked my first and only sample of this cigar a couple weeks ago.  I actually really liked it.  Definitely the best RP I've had in a long time.  I would never pay cover price, but I'd pick up a 5-er for $50 if I saw them.

@Odb  These days it's not so much about new lines per-se, it's NEW in general.  Tatuaje has done what the Fuentes have done, adding new vitolas to existing lines far more often than adding entirely new lines.  Whether it's the consumers or the marketing, it seems the industry is all about the "new" right now, though of course that's not limited to the cigar industry, it's pretty much everywhere.

FWIW, I love the Brown label and plan to get at least a few boxes of the 10th Annis (Noellas, Cazadores, Especiales, J21 for sure)

Props to La Palina.  if nothing else, a great marketing move.  I've only had the El Diario line because the price of the others is so high, but hopefully this will help give me a chance.

Just smoked my first one today.  Great cigar for sure.  This first sample was not better than the #9 Flying Pig or FFP (or the 1 UF-4 I've had) to me personally, but that was only 1 sample so the jury is still out.  One thing is for sure--it was great and I want more!

@Bill Paley

To not re-release the Goldie in the Laguito No. 2 again might be a poor buisness decision.  That cigar, along with the Kill BIll, have put you guys on the map for most of us.  Why not make it a yearly release?  I'm not against a No. 5 at all, just saying that to state that the No. 2 is "done" is ill-advised.  That would be like VIaje not re-releasing the VOR#5, Camacho canceling the Liberty Series or Tatuaje canceling the Monster Series.

My 2 cents, of course.

Agreed!  This as the T114 are about tied for my favorite Thermonuclear regular release, though they are quite different from each other.  I give the edge to the Avion '12 as the overall better cigar, but the T114 is just great for that occasional 3rd cigar of the day :)
