Oh yeah, I barely even listen to the "Eli spot" with Mike Francessa. He has no clue what to ask Eli. It's the most generic interview you could imagine. A complete waste of time. I don't even know what to say anymore. When I hear that Gilbride and the rest of the coaches are pretty much coming back I get so frustrated.

I swear all of the Giants beat writers are brain dead or too afraid to give us any real assessment of this team. I give Patricia Traina a little credit, she has recently come around to some form of realisticly assessing this team. I can't understand why they can't see what we see. And we're not some delusional overreacting fans here. If you follow them on twitter it's the exact same posts from all of them. It's like they read off a press release and tweet it out. I can't even turn to WFAN anymore. The Giants fan has no representation on there. Who advocates for the Giants fan in the Tri-State? Boomer & Carton- Jets fans, Joe & Evan- Jets fans, Francesa- A Parcells worshipper who has no team & talks Yankees hot stove during a Giants playoff push. I have Sirius which is a lot better but they are too national to focus on the Giants. It may sound crazy but I actually listen to a philly station during the day. I'm jealous at the coverage they devote to the Eagles. The Giants don't have anything close to that. We get a little mention with Carl Banks but that's so short and quickly turns to the Jets by the Jets fans he's on with. I'm glad I recently found this site because I thought maybe I'm being too hard. Based on how most people seem satisfied with the level of mediocrity around this team lately. I've said for years that the Giants have won despite of Gilbride not because of Gilbride.
I'm ok with a young guy coming in. I'm actually in favor of it. Honestly can't say I know who's out there that fits that description to offer up a name. I'm more in favor of new as opposed to young. Like Chip Kelly is not so young but he has a new approach to offense. Even Belichick goes back and talks to college coaches to see where the trends are to adapt his coaching philosophy. The league has changed so much since 2007. And we know that defenses adapt quickly.

I think it's beyond obvious that Gilbride has to go. The difficult question is: Who do we replace him with? I would love to have Mike Sullivan back. Eli hasn't been the same since he left. And he put up career numbers when he was here as his QB coach. I think we might have let a good one slip away. Just look at the difference he has made for Tampa Bay's offense. I do know that I want a guy who has some innovative plays . A guy who can take advantage of the weapons we do have on offense.
