Haha oh man I was just thinking... what if James really took that first mailbag to heart and we are about to witness the most bizarre and perverse pornographic re-imagining of AVGN?

It really is hard to do things legit in LA without a ton of money. I wish you the best of luck, and even if this doesn't make it to theaters, I hope that you at least are able to sell it to Netflix and that it will open many more doors for you!
@TheShamster Speaking of Harry Potter and the troll that was on the loose earlier... did you know that one of the main characters in the movie Troll was named Harry Potter? lol

@Kenshiroh You're lying! I never hit you! You are tearing me apart, Eragon!
@gamez @Branden798 Fair enough, give him a call and see if it is really him posting. I highly doubt it is really him: (419) 626-3454
@Branden798 Yeah that makes sense. I have his full contact information, I will post if someone confirms that it is actually him. Otherwise nevermind...
@RyanSanders HAHA! I completely forgot about the Pakleds! That would be a perfect match actually.

I've always wondered if YouTube comments are really aliens trying to communicate with us...
@Jarnor I totally agree, the main message of the movie is that of Sesame Street as a whole: That everyone can get along and live together happily, no matter your race, background, or species for that matter. The secondary message is more of a nod to parents and adults.Of course we both forgot to mention that Follow That Bird has a huge amount of star power with all of the cameos and villains played by great comedians of the day.
As far as Elmo is concerned, he wasn't on the show when I was watching it. I don't mind him as a character and I think that he does add to the show, however I don't think that he should be the focus of the show. The whole point is that it is an ensemble cast. When I was a young tyke there was no main character except for maybe Big Bird, but overall the time was pretty evenly split between all of the characters and they didn't ram one down your throat. Imagine SNL revolving around Kristen Wiig, as much as I like her in small doses, that wouldn't be much fun to watch! Another major difference is that Jim Henson had nothing to do with this one. RIP.

I recently watched Follow That Bird, and it is still amazing and hilarious! The whole movie is a commentary on how the government shouldn't interfere with our lives. The best part was that as the movie goes along and the characters are all out trying to find Big Bird, Cookie Monster is slowly but surely eating his entire car. By the end of the movie there is hardly anything left. The whole thing is just off the wall and great, especially since they get away from Sesame Street itself. I would actually say it is like a Pee-wee's Big Adventure for the Pre-School aged kids. Road movies are always a great way to go- just like what James is doing with the Nerd movie!
I just watched the movie "Being Elmo" last week. This is a perfect followup to that! Nice job Mike!
@Fugtub @Shadowtheman Maybe he means "The Sight" as in his eyes have been opened thanks to Cinemassacre! lol

Haha it started as a trilogy and then he just couldn't stop! Sounds familiar...
@WilliamDelca Also not to go off on a complete tangent... but why in the world would Naboo elect a 14 year old to be the queen of their planet?? The love story would have been much more effective between a similarly aged Anakin and Padme as one of the queen's handmaidens. Without the stupid twist that she actually is the queen of the planet. Give me a break! This reminds me, I watched part of the Oprah interview with George Lucas at Skywalker Ranch. It was pretty interesting. She actually asked him when was the last time that someone told him "no". Of course he couldn't even remember, lol.

@WilliamDelca I always thought that Phantom Menace, and the rest of the prequels, could have been made a lot better if they time shifted the entire series 10 years forward. That way when we meet Anakin he would be around Luke's age. You could still have him as a slave and the pod-racing and all of that stuff too I suppose. The biggest problem that I always had was that the timeline of the movies doesn't really work, especially since Amidala never ages while Anakin is growing up.
Ever since Obi-wan first mentioned the Clone Wars in Episode IV, I had always assumed that would mean something a little more sinister than what became Episode II. Imagine how much cooler it would have been if Palpatine was creating clones of different important politicians or people around the galaxy and then assassinating the originals in order to replace them with clones loyal to him! It would be sort of like Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
I would love to remake the prequels some day with better stories and characters, too bad that will never happen lol.
Mike I really appreciate how much better you have gotten at this over the past couple of years. You have moved from an occasional guest to hosting your own videos. I also think it is was good move to drop the "Motherfukin Mike" and "Motherfukin Mondays" titles from your work because it really brought down the quality. Keep up the good work and I look forward to what else is to come!
I bet that the pole on the side helps with detecting your head position so that the goggles can know when your head turns. Good thing that we have accelerometers now!

Did you try the expansion port on the bottom of the Super Nintendo?

The best classic game based on a movie would have to be the PAL version of Ghostbusters II on NES in my opinion. This is also the version that was ported to the GameBoy. I played it all the time as a kid and loved it! Years later I stumbled across it on NES and picked it up excited to play a fun game from my childhood, only to pop it in and discover that the NTSC "American" version of Ghostbusters II for the NES was a completely different and utter garbage. Here's a link to some gameplay footage on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7rIzJXSk7g
I am a little worried that James is going to have some financial issues making this movie in LA. I find it puzzling that he packed up and moved across the country to intentionally film his movie in the most expensive union controlled film zone in the world. I understand that many of his friends and connections are out there, but speaking as a filmmaker who has done work both in the midwest and LA, I wonder if it would have been cheaper to pay to have his friends travel elsewhere to make the movie. Of course he could be going completely underground and avoid permits and the like... but out in LA the cops are in on the film laws and actually will stop you- whereas back home they probably wouldn't give a crap as long as you aren't shutting down traffic. I wish you the best of luck dealing with all of that BS James!

@Elyjaah @NightPhoenix Oh he can certainly do it if it is his passion, more power to him there. Looking at his site I see that he has done several including Mega Man, Sonic, and Ghostbusters. Not trying to be too critical, just saying that original stuff is better than rehashing franchises on no budget. That being said we all watched his video so it is probably just a way for him to get his name out there. I was just surprised that he has made so many and think his efforts should be directed towards creating and not copying. Then again, Hollywood does love remakes lol.

Why does this guy waste his time making crappy fan films? He should go out and do something original...
Both this and the Bill and Ted cartoon are shows that I should have loved as a kid, but still found incredibly stupid. I would have to say that my absolute favorite cartoon from my childhood is The Real Ghostbusters. Several of those episodes were actually scary, especially the ones with the Bogeyman and Samhain! It is great when a Saturday Morning cartoon can be serious and entertaining at the same time. Ninja Turtles is a close second, but even that show was overly silly most of the time. It is too bad that cable has all but destroyed the concept of Saturday Morning cartoons...

While I love hearing this insight into future projects, I would strongly recommend that you refrain from sharing such creative ideas in the future. There are a lot of people that stroll through this site and you never know when someone else will take your idea and run with it before you get the chance. So please continue to give us the behind the scenes videos, but keep your creative ideas for future projects to yourself! I am sure many on here will agree that we want you to succeed and the last thing any real fans would want is to see you get ripped off!

I just started buying some classic arcade games for an arcade that my dad is putting in at his office for kids who are stuck in the waiting room (dentist). I managed to find a great copy of the original Galaga at a good price and I can't wait to turn my future basement into my own 80s Cave arcade! If you want to see a cool private arcade, this is probably this best one that I have found: http://lunacityarcade.com/photos.htm although sadly it no longer exists!

I was just thinking... autographed NES controllers would be pretty cool prizes to give away!
@Snejku Yeah he really should have waited until this year to start the donations!
Ok I am definitely going to donate snother $25 here when I get the chance. I wonder if that Nerd signature on the Top Gun game makes landing any easier? I like that we can check the IndieGo page to see how much you have raised, but will you be telling us how much you made off of the Paypal Donation phase that you did first? I gave to that but haven't to IndieGo yet.
He's been there already so I wouldn't be surprised if it makes its way into the movie!
