Vandy is the worst team in the SEC??? Given your feeling towards Franklin it's no surprise you think they are awful, but Tennessee, Arkansas, & Ole Miss were blown out at home, Kentucky lost to Western KY, Auburn needed OT to beat LA Monroe (Who beat ARK). The SEC admitted that Vandy got screwed by the refs at a chance to win vs S. Carolina and Northwestern (who may be 1 of the best teams in the Big 10). Yeah they have the worst record in the SEC but everyone has 1 win vs cupcakes (some have 2) at least Vandy didn't even toy with theirs. For someone who criticizes teams for playing Cupcakes you rank the one that actually waits until their 3rd game to play theirs. This is why teams play these games to boost their records. Give them credit for actually trying to play teams out of BCS conferences. Still no article about Vandy getting official apologies in 4 out of the last 5 games the SEC has sent refs.

You are not going to give up until Hal is suspended are you? The SC player jumped right up and the play was flagged. Just say not suspending Hal was a making up to Vandy for blatantly screwing them with the Pass Interference no call. Why has there been no article about Vandy getting 2 official apologies from the SEC for both the SC and Northwestern game?
Vandy is playing a team named after a piece of gardening equipment. This game is going to be closer than you think.
It's the calls that aren't made that cost Vandy.. It's when the WR's are mugged with no calls see vs UF last season and vs SC this season that clearly shows the agenda the SEC has. Let Vandy players screw it up like normal don't help them. That's why Vandy fans think the SEC is out to get them.
The 2 above involving Vandy players were instantly flagged. The Wade play was as blatant as it gets the nailed a helpless punt returner, and then taunted him. Wade's reaction didn't help him either. Also why wasn't the penalty from the end of the run on that play instead of back to the spot of the foul.
The SC player instantly jumped up and the play was flagged on the field. I agree there could have been a suspension but there wasn't.
So Vandy is the worst team in the SEC??? Shocking you'd put them there. Considering they have lost a home game vs a top 10 team and lost vs a middle Big 10 team on the road. Both games had very bad calls that helped contribute to the loss. UT has played the power house of GA St and a middle of the pack ACC team and is a top 25 team? Ark lost to freaking LA Monroe. Has Ole Miss played a FBS team yet??? Mizzou got blown out at home by a shorthanded GA team, but hey they have won a game. Auburn and Vandy have played by far the toughest schedule in the SEC thus far shocking they are both 0-2.
Why do you continue to brow beat Vandy for scheduling Presbyterian? Are they any better/worse than Georgia State, Jackson St, Buffalo, Towson State, Western KY, ECT?? Lord it's a horrible Sin that Vandy gets a cupcake every once and a while. It's not like any other SEC school plays them. How about mentioning how they playing 2 BCS teams out of conference. Northwestern and Wake are tougher than 90% of the Cupcakes played by the rest of the league
This is more trash talking Vanderbilt than anything. WE are the only one that can claim "The Best Academics & Cleanest Program in the SEC" not UF or A&M
What's wrong with VU doing this??? Marc Panu became a Youtube star and was all over the national media with JF. This is the only place where he was not a story. It's better than the blandness other SEC fans get. Also look at the comments section on Youtube "I want to play for James Franklin". It's working and Franklin is building something. Anchor Down!!!!!!
How many other SEC team complete directly with the NFL for fan support??? Add to that a Thursday night game in Hot August, and 40+ years of pathetic seasons. No SEC team would sell out given those circumstances. Give us VU fans some credit for supporting the team through the worst of times.

Actually he's wrong UT finished last after that loss. All UK fans I know could care less about where the finish, when they won it all in hoops. Beating UT in football is just a fun little side note to this season. FYI there is no such thing as the State of Kentucky ;)
I think you have lived in the south too long. You have gotten used to the slow southern drawl, Northern coaches like Pinkel, Franklin and Mullen only sound fast to you. Not that they don't talk fast just an observation. Is Presbyterian any worse than say Wofford, Towson, Samford, Georgia State, Western Carolina, Sam Houston St, Jacksonville St.??? At least Vandy is playing 2 BCS teams yes they are lower end teams but still they ain't cupcakes like the rest of the SEC teams are loading up on. FYI: The Edsel comment "I see what you did there"
Didn't a SEC defense beat a Big 12 offense twice in this 6 years run. And yes our girls are prettier!!!!!

JP Are you going to be covering the riveting match-up of Presbyterian at Vanderbilt for CSS?? I'm shocked that game will be shown anywhere. But at least Vandy does play a Big 10 and ACC school out of conference which is more BCS schools than most SEC teams play. Only Mizzou if you count the Big East plays that many. I agree these cupcake games are yawners, but they happens in all sports and the visiting team gets it pay day.
Well written article and some of this hero worship is crazy. Cam Newton only played one season at Auburn. I am shocked A statue of Tebow "Tebowing" at Florida hasn't already been erected. These are still kids in there 20's let them retire 1st and maybe when they are old men let them have a glorified statue.
@dee6634 You forgot to add that we are the only school in Tennessee that knows how to beat the University of Kentucky in Football Baseball or Basketball. I almost (notice I said almost) feel sorry for UT fans they still think they are a top 10 Football program nationally when they are even in the top 10 in the SEC anymore
