Shocker indeed. Shite song choice too! Seriously Will.i.am? You twat! Too bad really...Liam has such a beautiful voice. Will.i.am is a dolt.
And Nigel and Ken are the next to force exit...
@JoeTranch @Mikhail XO Julia Roberts has a great mouth...lips, smile. Maybe the best in H'Wood.
@elementalman @Mikhail XO Hmmm...you may be right. Her Idology videos were brought up as a support for her qualification as a judge...that's why I mentioned it. :) I have nothing against Melinda...I just don't see them considering her in this capacity... for many reasons.
@NickRoman1 @Mikhail XO @JulianPerry6
Nicholas my darling...never thought you sounded (or 'read as'...) combative in the least. :)
@NickRoman1 @Mikhail XO @JulianPerry6 Apologies for saying this: Melinda is uber-likable...but I find the Idology stint silly...and she and Slezak (he to a larger extent) are very superficial in their review and are good, perhaps, at 'soundbites' more than criticism. She seems to cheerlead favourites...which is not what is needed. They would never consider her. Poor fit on many fronts, imo. (DISCLAIMER: I realise it's only my opinion, folks!!)
@JulianPerry6 Melinda Doolittle, whilst a great singer, has virtually no industry gravitas...she hasn't 'made it'. They'd have to go with Kelly, Clay, Jennifer...perhaps Adam..or maybe 1 or 2 other names that have been bandied about. Purportedly Jennifer is signed...so we'll see...
Still don't get the attraction. He's not a good actor and he is isn't that great looking. He must be shagging the right people.
@JoeTranch @Mikhail XO What is there to do? think about it. First off...he will be better than Randy. Mariah was accomplished...what did she say of value? Steven Tyler? I think having one person evaluate (or comment...since this is all they do) from a contestant perspective is actually good--but just one. The judges offer more opinion (whether they liked the performance) rather than critical feedback on the technique or vocal performance. A show like DWTS...the judges actually do judge and their critique has 'vote value' for the contestant.
"Smash star Jennifer Hudson..." Lol...
@JoeTranch @Mikhail XO @Rickey One alum would be good...and I think it has to be that bitch Adam.
@JoeTranch @Rickey Four unknown behind-the-scenes individuals won't work as Idol has made the focus of their show these celebrity judges. I think it's too sharp a shift...besides, that worked real well with Kara DioGuardi.... ;) eh?
I agree about Jennifer...but I'll also add that I think she would be a bit boring. She seems too nice and perhaps not bold enough to honestly critique.
@ShawnJang I can't support this alum judging panal if ShawnJang is going to "jizz everywhere"...
@Rickey @Forever504 "bluesy violins" are country? Do you mean 'bluegrass fiddle'?
Not sure what to make of this, Cassadee...
I was wondering what ever happened to Cassadee Poop. :)
Hmmmm... Wyoming and Montana residents don't have internet yet. ;)
This gig is beneath Kelly. ;) Though I have no doubt she'd be great.
I know many people hate Adam...but I think he would likely give good advice. He's can be a bit ummm...grating to listen to in interviews sometimes, and I can see him annoying some people...but he might make it interesting. Idol seem to hire such boring celeb judges ( sans Nicki) compared to the Voice, Adam would not be dull, IMO.
This is the World we're talking about, Forbes. Is Sophia Vergara (38th out of 100) really that powerful in our world? I sat near her and her hot boyfriend at Hamburger Heaven @E53rd a few weeks ago. I was not intimidated. This is such a US centric list.
Furthermore, Hillary Clinton..whether or not she still held her position as Sec'y of State...is deemed more internationally powerful than both Michelle Obama and Melinda Gates.
Margaret Chen, Julia Gillard and C. Fernandez de Kirchner are significantly less powerful in the world than Beyonce?? Lol...
I'd like to know what methodology they used. Seems they divided them into categories then chose so as to have an interesting article...weighing heavily on the entertainment and fashion industries...with a rich inclusion of American celebrities. They should rename this "The US and/or the Worlds 100 most Powerful and/or Popular Women".
@waynocoaster I feel like someone keeps pushing her on us...constant force feeding.
