On a lighter note...one of my friends just  gotback from Northern California. While there, he attended two Giants games where the price of a 16 ounce Coors Light was $10.25. What thievery. Just pure thievery.

@Jabb0310 @El Prez Actually...  a lawyer in my father's firm came to know and like Nelson Peterson during his incarceration in El Reno. I know where you're coming from, but I mean....does that make AD exempt from common sense as an adult and a father?

I think back to when Rozelle suspended Paul Hornung and Alex Karras  an entire season for betting NFL games.  If I were Goodell...Adrian Peterson would be in seriously deep shit as to his future in the NFL. Vick fights dogs and we're all rightfully appalled. Peterson and these other 'men' abuse womern and children and it doesn't seem to evoke the appropriate outrage from owners and Goodell until sponsors threaten pullouts.

Maybe Goodell should suspend all games for a week without pay and the thuggery will curtail. Pathetic. Just absolutely pathetic. Just cause you can carry or catch a football doesn't make you exempt from prison.

@Old Man Game @El Prez I'm torn. Tomorrow night begins with FDR's first term. Can K State really hang with an elite SEC team like Auburn?

This Roosevelt movie has me spellbound. Peter Coyote as the narrator is superb. Auburn @ K State tomorrow night in what in my mind is the biggest game of the season for the Big 12 as a whole. This movie is so good I may actually miss the first half to watch The Roosevelts. War Eagle.

I would strongly urge those intending to watch the third segment of The Roosevelt movies to google the Election of 1912 as a primer for tomorrow night's segment. One of our country's more interesting elections.

This Roosevelt film is just wonderful. I have to tip my hat to Burns. Tomorrow night should be excellent as the Bull Moose Election and The River of Doubt expedition apparently will be featured. Great stuff all Americans should know.

Yes. Teddy along with James Polk is one of my two favorite presidents. He should never have let himself get wrangled into that Bull Moose Party nonsense. It tarnished his presidential legacy. I'm recording it, though I'm not sure Ken Burns will be telling me much I don't already know. Reading an FDR book currently on WWII.

Grew up loving the Packers. Read every book Jerry Kramer ever wrote about them. I was born in San Diego and loved them when they were in the AFL with John Hadl. Plus...I think they have the best uniform in the NFL. Love the powder blue jerseys.

Texas Tech pummeled by Arkansas. Texas played much better, but kind of shrunk at the end when UCLA decided they had to win the game. Good days for West Virginia, Oklahoma and O State. Sooners now travel to Morgantown. That could be an interesting game. Big football weekend for me....my nephew starts both ways for Stillwater and we were at their game against Mustang last night in Mustang. Stillwater prevailed 35-26 to go 2-0 on the season. Next up: Edmond North in Stillwater next Friday.
