I've lived in Houston, fans do NOT show up for their sports teams, remember the oilers, you could go to a game for $5 when I lived there, they were practically paying people to come, but they didn't so they left town. Same with the Rockets, nobody showed when lived there. OKC is head and shoulders about Houston any day of the week, the city AND the fans!

@anonymous12345 I stopped watching him. He claims to be a fan, but his words belie that. I'm with you on the "blame Westbrook" train. It's old, it's tired and imo we have 2 superstars on our team and with all the double coverage that KD gets, it's sometimes hard for him to break loose and I can just hear it now, Russell passes to KD even though he has 2 defenders on him, BAM turnover and then you hear "Westbrook is turning the ball over too much" The guy can't win with some people.

I have to admit I have been guilty of slamming Scotty Brooks for his sometimes ridiculous rotations, only time will tell if he is a championship coach, but he was inexperienced as a head coach as our guys were inexperienced the first couple of years. For the most part I am grateful to have a team in OKC and even more grateful that I get to attend every home game. I believe the Thunder will win a championship eventually and when we do, we'll have these same pessimistic people expecting a championship every year after. I knew of many people that gave up their season tickets after the first season because we weren't good at all. It was ridiculous to me that some people expected the Thunder to be good in their first season in existence in this town. Now the people I know that gave up their season tickets desperately wish they hadn't and are now on the "waiting list" to get season tickets. It's the society we live in now. the "I want it now" society. Just sit back and enjoy the ride that is the Oklahoma City Thunder and be a "good fan"
EXACTLY! What I've been saying, bad coaching decisions frequently.

I hope Maynor stays, while Reggie Jackson may improve, he' have to improve a lot to be on par with Maynor, imo. I smell ticket prices going up after this season. I'm okay with it as a season ticket holder, to keep Harden and Maynor.

you might want to tell rond, he is not a scoring point guard, game 2 ECF 44 points, and Rondo IS Rondo and his team isn't in the finals, so again, your point is moot.
1 year, 5 months ago on Is it all Scott Brooks’ fault?
that's what I said about PJ, Bleacher Report (take with a grain of salt) wrote a story implying that Phil Jackson wants to coach the Thunder. Like I said, it's bleacher report so....
Lebron is a great player, which is why he doesn't need any preferrential whistles
uh Rondo is a scoring point guard, so your point is moot. and our scoring point guard got us this far (along with his team mates) so again, your point is moot.
plenty of blame to go around and Scott Brooks is in that mix.
and I envision Russell a phenomenal player in a few years. He is still young and in a few years, watch out NBA, I just hope OKC is lucky enough to still have him.
1 year, 5 months ago on Russell Westbrook: Mindset
I'll take Westbrook any day. He is, to quote a few of the talking head, an explosive player. He is dedicated, He has never missed a game, he even left money on the table when he re-signed with OKC. These talking heads need to be taken with a grain of salt. They ragged on him because a point guard isn't supposed to be shooting the ball, and now they're ragging because he's not shooting well enough. Make up their minds. The position of PG is changing in the NBA, re: Derrick Rose (does anyone rag on him for shooting too much?) Rondo, same thing. They need to get up to speed or shutup.I don't know why they have chosen to hate on Westbrook but I hope Russell doesn't watch or read what they say because imo they don't know what they are talking about. Flip Floppers.
no one person wins a game and no one person loses a game. He gets the blame for losses (just like the story said) and no credit for playing well when they win. The harsh criticism is unjustified imo. KD has had bad games or bad quarters where he doesn't score much but he doesn't get the kind of criticism Russ does. People need to ease up. And as far as Brooks and Durant being sweet, I couldn't say, I don't know them, but they must be doing something right or we wouldn't be in the NBA finals in 4 short years.
Ridiculous, do people think Russ is not playing well on purpose? He needs to be better? Sometimes you just get into a slump. And I agree with whoever said that many times Durant can't shake his 2 defenders to receive the ball. Does anyone remember when "the talking heads" said ad nauseum that the Thunder can't win with one guy making all the points? Now, they want KD making all the points and Russ not shooting at all. You can't please people like Skip Bayless or any other talking head, which he doesn't matter anyway because they are only OPINIONS, They just need somebody to rag on and they have chosen Westbrook for some reason. If the coach don't have a problem, the team doesn't have a problem with Russ's play, then there ain't no problem. He will come out of his so called slump, if you can call it that. Russ is a top 5 player and doesn't deserve the downright nasty criticism he gets. Any one of those people would love to have Russ on their team. I guess Lebron needs a break so they've passed the torch somewhat to Westbrook. (Lebron doesn't deserve the downright hatred he gets either, imo)
Thanks to all of you complaining about Brooks. I have been complaining about him for 2 years, with his sometimes ridiculous rotations. My husband nd I actually argue about this. I think his job is safe this year, as even if we lose this series, we have not taken a step back from last year. Next year will be Scotties test. imo, we don't take the next step, he gets canned. Ibaka on the bench was utterly ridiculous imo, I'm no coach, but dang. Thabo should have played more too I thought.. But the Thunder wrapped this game up in a pretty box with a pretty bow on top and gifted it to the Spurs imo. THUNDER UP and Scottie, get a clue.

Maybe we can get Joey Crawford officiating all the games. LOL, I don't think he likes the Thunder much, but even more, I don't think he likes Tim Duncan. just sayin and just kidding, Joey Crawford shouldn't be officiating at a dog fight. THUNDER UP!

Given Artest pas behavior, I think 7 games is pretty light. What if next time he does it (and he will) he seriously injures somebody, or worse) I think his past behaviour should have weighed heavily into the equation. I'd would think 10 games minimum

I bet he is staying at the Skirvin and that would be hilarious, just like the Knicks.
1 year, 8 months ago on Doesn’t sound like President Obama will attend a Thunder game
channel 9 is reporting that if you're going to the Thunder game Wednesday to leave early, some of the streets will be blocked off due to the president's visit. They didn't mention him going to the game but supposedly he will land at Tinker and then be going downtown to I guess stay at a hotel down there. Still think he might be at the game.
