What's Kreiders deal with Stralman? Seemed to be going after him all night.
Please no more glass. He blows.
Lost his man on the goal and can't keep up with quick passing and transition game the rangers need to be effective. How many potential odd-man rushes where he shanks it and just fizzles the momentum. Not even hitting muc- his is not a million dollar role.

Just looking at the bright side. We are
In very good shape right now. Bad losses will happen and let downs will happen, and yeah odds are we probably won't win the cup (that's true for every team), but we have a talented team that for the most part is fun to watch. Yay.
Wonder where Staal and talbot will wind up. That's an interesting package.

just coming out of the first quarter, we've been without some of our key players for much of that time and we are beating top teams 5-0. I think we'll be in great shape. this is a fun team to watch.
did somebody say McDonagh?

Ha!!! Great zinger, Milbury really did pretty much single handedly destroy that franchise.
Luongo, osgood, McCabe, berard, bertuzzi, chara, spezza... That could have been a dynasty

And then they went to the finals?

Ah yes, 7-7. I guess you can give AV credit for that. Pretty formidable considering we've been without stepan, McDonough and many others most of the season. I don't understand your beef with AV. I get it, you like it rough. But the rangers have never been that brand. This is a team built on speed and they have the right coach for that. Why do you even follow the rangers, they will never live down to your standards- plus I think Charlestown chiefs tickets are way cheaper anyway.
Who was responsible for the 5-0 game over the pens?

Who said anything about a scapegoat? Read my post I said the team was awful. Just pointing out the obvious that he is not good enough to be on this team right now. I understand his role but he's not good enough at that either, sorry.
And for the cap space? Fuhgettabahh
Rangers were awful but man Tampa is set up for quite a while. What a good crop of Russians in the league now with teresenko in stl and the kid who scored on breakaway tonight.
We need mcD back pronto.
And no more glass, wow.
Loving Hayes! For anyone questioning how AV is handling Duclair and generalizing him as not doing a the best job bringing young guys into the fold, just look at Hayes. I am confident the Duke will be a star, but he may be redundant to the lineup in some games. Just about every forward is speedy and has offensive skillz, hayes just happens to bring something different right now, including being a center. I've definitely seen enough of Glass. I understand why he's here, and he's fine, but would rather have that cap space at this point.
And let down? I don't know, that seemed like a really good, fun hockey game to watch. We gotta win some shootouts though- STEMPY shooting 3rd with Marty and Harty (nash) on the bench???

Yes that is what happened to the avs last year, you are correct

gotta bounce back tonight

@johnnyb3910 @SmellyKisio you're right. he needs to just take that shit to the cage. get it on net at the very least. valiquette's piece on shooting percentage was fascinating. of those type of shots, where player enters zone and goalie has clear view, 1 of 34 go in!!! on passes across the imaginary line perpendicular to the center of goal, 1 in 3 score because the goalie has to move. of course, those passes are hard to connect, but still. if you are quite possibly the fastest and strongest player in the NHL (which kreider may arguably be!!!), just take it to the net, eat up the D, draw a penalty or score, for pete's sake
Yes allen looked timid, nervous...bad. Rather have woody allen back there. At least no one would go unmollested in front of the net
When will Staal either learn how to get his shot on goal or just stop trying to shoot. It always winds around the boards and leads to a rush the other way. He was lumbering all night. Kostka is fired. Hunwick with another JV turnover. Yikes
That floater from the point was insane. Talbots gotta find that. With hank it's a 4-2 win.
We need at least ONE regular D back. Sawyer (kostka) was "Lost" out there. Still like hhunwick. No letdown today.

@McPhee37 @IcyCup @Say my Name you think AV should have jumped off the bench there? Its on the PLAYERS!!
3 weeks, 3 days ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/2014-articles/jets-1-rangers-0-shootout.html
@McPhee37 @IcyCup incorrect
@McPhee37 @Say my Name @IcyCup but the bottom line is winning yes? you cannot argue with the fact that he is a proven winner as a coach, for two teams now... and don't say he's not a winner because no cup. whether or not you like his style, you can't argue with the overall effect he has had on the organization, and the culture here. I saw you also say he was out-coached by berube in that series, which is insane!!! If anything, Berube glaringly OVERCOACHED by overtinkering and over thinking the match ups…. Remember?
Answer me this- would you rather have a mediocre team that gives you 2 or 3 fights a game, or blinding team speed that exercises mental toughness over brawn? Yes players should stick up for one another, but that's up to them, on the ice, never the coach. Any coach that tells a player to go after another player belongs in prison, to be quite honest.
So if you see a lack of toughness, blame the players. they're all big tough boys, capable of standing up for themselves and their teammates. i like where the game is today and where it's going- this is the game Mario Lemieux whined for throughout his career, and probably would get 200+ points in every year.
going to game tonight LGR!!!!!!
Good luck with the new Islanders blog

Prust is what we needed, not Glass. But did we need him at that price? Too late to know. I'd trade for him back in a second. Legit middleweight, who can actually play
I'm not even a purist, it just doesn't do much for me anymore. Rather see 3 on 3 for the next 5 minutes

Did you start writing this in the first?
Anyone else over the shoot out completely?
Did you watch him before becoming a ranger, and really much of his first season on NYR? He's a perennially dominant superstar having another good season. One of many. Or maybe he listened to a bunch of George Harrison songs as you seem to be saying. Hey you never know! Long as the lamp keeps lightin' up!

I think it's just time to stop being surprised that Nash is playing the way he has for 90% of his career.
Damn that does look deadly
4 weeks, 1 day ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
He'll be the last #30 the Rangers ever dress, that's for sure.
@Say my Name I wouldn't say 15 years, haha. been a legit team for a few years now, but he sure did have his fair share of mulligans. this team is looking real good now that Nash is the superstar we trade for and built around
1 month ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@ObviouslyTwoPointsAreGreat the guy can, and is, helping the team now. he's ready.
@scrangersfan @SmellyKisio no joke, I think it's pretty much widely accepted that Messier was totally dirty. Yes absolutely tough as nails, but nasty. Always a butt end sticking out on a check, always a sharp elbow when taking a check, or a slash. I heard this straight from bryan trotter and patrick flatly who played against him a ton. It was obviously another era, but when you have that kind of freakish talent mixed with the nasty, animal, whatever it takes, don't fuck with me attitude, you'll be a force in the league. can't get away with quite as much these days, but messier absolutely did.
Yes to Munnwick over Moore. He's playing like a newly arrived..... Jon Moore...
Could also buy him a step and fear in the hearts of opponents a la messier, one of history's dirtiest
This gamely have finally made Stepan out number 2 center.
Same with most of kreiders shots though
Kreider will buy himself a step with these hits
He's stuck in Hicksville somewhere
He's a bonafide superstar who had an off-season due to injury (though still scored just shy of 30 despite being on auto-pilot). He is flat out going after it now. And getting it
Just on the fridge. Adorable!
As are his teeth
Dukie's making a splash!
Oooh, duh! NASH takes the Poulioit slot. How did we not think of that, especially with him having past success/chemistry with brass. That was something. This is the Nash we asked for. lefty lindros.......... (I know, sorry).... Now another off-season til Saturday. Moore's suspension should be over by then
Yes that 2 on 0 breakaway was some classic Hogan Family hockey
Not bottles "boyles"
