I was hoping you were right on the Dennard Int. I watched it several times and Dennard made a great physical legal play. AL stared down the receiver and Dennard made him pay.

It was obvious Pete Moronrelli got the message from the NFL to screw the Colts so the Pats could play the Broncos. The timing of these calls were awfully suspicious. The Pats get a questionable call then the Colts don't get 2 or 3 obvious calls. It's time to allow challenges for any reason. If it's not indisputable them don't overturn it.

My point is "IF" he doesn't become a top 5 RB, then why waste a 1st round pick.

To early to say the Richardson trade was ugly, but if he doesn't become a top 5 RB, why waste a 1st round pick. Running backs are easy to find later in the draft and they have a short shelf life. We could use that 1st round pick for a center/guard to make holes. I agree though in general Grigson scored an A in 2012 and currently I would give him a C for 2013. The bright side is who expected the Colts to make the playoffs in both 2012 and looking good for 2013 after 2-14 in 2011. The Colts will have some CAP room for 2014 so if we get the injured guys back 2014 looks promising.

The Rams have 2 premier pass rushers who were able to tee off because of our poor rushing offense. The sack/fumble was clearly partly Coby Fleenor's fault for not chipping very well. We need Pep to design more plays to get our rushing offense going, screens, mis-directions, reverses, etc. while not telegraphing we are running. Also generally max protection packages can have the opposite effect as more rushers are rushing the QB.

Great article!! This is why Colts fans are so frustrated. We recognize that losing Dwayne Allen, Donald Thomas and Reggie are big losses. But be more creative and quit telegraphing the run and saying your a power running team when you don't have the talent to back it up. If you are a power running team, why didn't you run it 1st and goal at the one yard line last week. I like the idea of DB and TR in the back field at the same time. DB is a great option for a screen or slant. Do more roll outs and how about some reverses with TY or DHB?
