i'd like to point out that most of those matches could have no significance, there's a chance many of them will, i remember when fox did that, most of the games were meaningless other than who finished 9th to 15th, while where you place can earn you more money, it does not make for tv that people care about.

Philadelphia-Pittsburgh on Saturday, Detroit-St. Louis on Sunday

neither game had any major significance on the teams making the playoffs, so that might be the reason. playoff Seedings do not generate ratings.

FS1 has too many ESPN castoffs, they just added another one recently, for every good personality on the network there are about 7 or 8 that are bland. At some point they need to go after the kind of talent ESPN goes after, talent from NESN or Comcast, or sportscaster talent from regional news stations. The talent they got from Canada are some of their better individuals (Jay, Dan, Binksy) who have something called a personality.

Nice work spinning your article to make espn look like nfl's bitch. If you do not like ESPN, that's one thing, Your point might even be valid, but the way you worded this story made it come off as biased. It'd be nice to see some unbiased media items for once.

promote Eagle and Fouts to the #2 team. With the Thursday night games, there will be some Sundays where they might call the top game on CBS, and they would make a better option. Make Gumbel and either Solomon Wilcots or Rich Gannon  the #3 team, pair Trent Green with Kevin Harlan, Then have Marv Albert & Spero Dedes with Either Wilcots, Gannon, or Steve Tasker, and Andrew CAtalon with Adam Archuleta when you need another announce team.

Done.

Pay Me, CBS.

i really wish they would give up on this gus johnson experiment with soccer, and let the games be called by the British announcers, ESPN figured it out, American announcers doing soccer, no sir, we don't like it.

According to Pwinsider.com, the DISH Network has decided that they will continue to carry WWE PPVs on a case by case basis. The decision was made over the last 24 hours. It has also been confirmed that they will carry the WrestleMania 30 PPV next month.

The feeling is that DISH received negative feedback to dropping the PPVs, and that they also realized that they were giving up money by flat out dropping the shows.

BIllick is still contributing to NFL Network so i expect him to continue to do that.

they could possibly to go this way in terms of announce teams:

Joe Buck/Troy Aikman

Kevin Burkhardt/ John Lynch

Thom Brennaman/ Daryl Johnston

Kenny Albert/Ronde Barber

Dick Stockton/Scott Fujita

Chris Myers/Heath Evans

Sam Rosen/ Either Urlacher, Moss, or someone else (Ephraim Salaam? Trevor Pryce? London Fletcher? whats Fletcher doing post retirement?)

personally, I'd ditch Siragusa while i'm at it, he doesn't add anything to games he's doing and just have female sideline reporters for all the games.

@stholeary @ShawnDiIorio wwe would be charging me for a service and content i would use, while cable companies charge you for what you want, and a bunch of stuff you don't and charge you for that as well. there are about 75 channel on a cable service a typical person may never watch, but still get charged for them.

@stholeary it seems to me wwe will generate more money from airing pay per views its own network than relying on cable companies to air it's services. look at what cable companies are doing. 70 percent of LA can not watch Dodgers games, most of Columbus can't watch it's soccer team on tv. why should i feel sorry for cable companies? it's painfully obvious they overcharge and they are more interested in getting new customers and making money any way they can than satisfying who they have. so sorry if i support new means that make everything easily available to everyone as opposed to the the decrepit old useless philosophy cable continues to force on us by shutting out people.

@danielkarjala @ShawnDiIorio@astormchaseri don't feel that kind of strategy would work over here. there's no point in making changes with the way tv is going with the adaptation of dvrs, on demand programming, and online streaming, conventional tv is going away. new strategies are going to be conjured for greedy fat cats who to get to get their money.

eliminate the corporate fat cat middle men who have no right to be stealing you scarce and hard earned money, you can call it a trojan horse, i call it liberation, cable and tv itself, is reaching old age. you have to evolve, or get left behind.

@astormchaserwhat do you want me to tell you then? It's this or nothing, don't like it? don't watch while everyone else does, they get ratings, you don't, it's how it is. get over the commercials already.

@wlaw422 redzone generates its revenue from people who pay for the service, which is why no commercials, do you want to pay to see the games on tv? or just deal with commercials? it's the choices we have to make.

@astormchaser plenty of people are watching, so your boycott is not really going to change anything. right now there are games on 4 channels, when one goes to commercial, change to another one.

@morganwick my point is when espn had the nhl on their network it got more empasis than now, and when they didn't have the nba, they didn't completely focus on it as much as they do now. if a sport is on espn, they want us to watch it because they want us to watch their channel. it's a business and marketing decision.
