@SubKurt @bresnahanjj let me also add, after the 2nd out I think since the Red Sox are going to be in "NO DOUBES" defense and Napoli is going to guarding the line and Pedroia is going to slide towards first anyway, why not hold the runner, keeping the force play (more opportunity for outs) in tact at 2nd. with the speed of the runner on first, if you just give him 2nd, he scores easily on a base hit, where if he is on first it will take a deep base hit or a double to score him (with the batter having the opportunity to reach second on a base hit on any throw home putting the tying run in scoring position). not to mention that the kid on first is a rookie, and we all know rookies make mistakes... case and point... get picked off with the tying run at the plate.
With all that said watching sports on Fox is terrible, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it.

@SubKurt When Buck and McCarver were making their stupid comments (see above) there was ONE out and Carpenter was up at bat and the double play was VERY much in order (main reason I remember thinking WHY would you not CARE about they guy on first???)... the clip above was AFTER Carpenter popped out to make TWO outs. This only exemplifies how BAD Buck and McCarver are.
I noticed this too, and at the time the Red Sox only had one out, so you also would not" give him second" because a double play end the game, sorry but watching sports on FOX and listening to McCarver, Buck and Andrews takes so much enjoyment out of the game
