@monguesto I cannot wait until I am the one the family can come to for assistance instead of me always being the one needing the help. Sick of it being that, and it is only achieved with a deep change of thought processes.
This article isn't talking about drowning in piles of money and goods, but allowing money to give you freedom and breathing room and losing the shackles mentality. Does that make sense?

The old me would have poopoo'ed this....the 51 year old me with nothing to show for all these years absolutely identifies the need to soak in every word and live it! I was born and raised into a hard working family and have rested on that laurel my whole life...sadly, until the last couple of months. While I wouldn't trade my great work ethic for a million dollars, I have kept myself small and not incorporated it into a larger platform. I'm just grateful to be in excellent health and oh-so-ready to step up my game!!
Thank you for writing and posting this....it is part of what I will keep around me to re-wire my thinking!! : )
Fabulous article, Sir...I am now a follower...thank you for the excellent read, education and enlightenment of these beautiful creatures!

@teaandolive Be the leader in your family for change....maybe encourage experiences as gifts, too...I totally understand about the "appearing ungrateful" but the "scale back" guideline is also voicing your parental rights and values...if tht was asked of me, I would honor that. If anyone is offended, that's on them.
