I have defended phanuef for the last time!

Stop the presses. I agree with Cameron's view earlier that ROR is not some savior over Kadri. There is a first time for everything. Judging by that freakish event I predict the leafs win 8 - 0 tonight. Randy Carlyle makes a coaching moving that changes the outcome of the game(for the better), 4th line get 10+minutes, our defence shows Nashville what it takes to be a top defensive group and everyone on MLHS is happy forever.

If the salary cap does not go up, I believe Chicago has to go all in this year because I think they are in trouble going forward. To accommodate Kane and Toews they need to shed 8.3M from their team as well as Sadd will probably get a 2M raise.

@Xxxxxnew  Agree, I think he is turning into an ideal 2nd line center.

Also what is with all the love for ROR. I agree he would be a great asset to get but everyone is thinking he is the savior at center. Colorado is not even playing him at center right now, he has 2 goals with a lot of PP time and is -11. I would not be against the leafs making a play for him but don't expect him to be a Jonathen Toews.

Playing in Toronto is brutal with this media and fan base. Naz is not scoring right now but if you know hockey and really watch he has improved all the things that he has been criticized for while he was scoring in the past. His face offs are better, his d zone coverage is better, his backpressure is better, his o zone time is better and his turnovers are down. The media and fan base is going to put so much pressure on him that he's going to start to cheat on those responsibilities to start to score more and then everyone will be beating up on him again.

I thought that was Gardiner's best game this year. He positioned himself well, skated up ice at the right time and moved his feet. Same with Morgan Reilly. It is not just about Goals, Assists or SOG, If you create positive forward movement and space on the ice for other because Chicago forwards are focused on taking your space away, that is the advantage of a good puck moving defence man.

@Komas Taberle @Burtonboy  That's when we took on some salary from Tbay and the league took away the fourth round pick from us.

@The_Polish_Cannon @wendelsfist @loomx @Komas Taberle  And he has grown significantly in the last year, shows he is still going through a growth stage.

@HHT @Roenick72 @Komas Taberle  I would of liked Sam Bennett too, just too high of a price to move up, I think it will be a toss up between the two.

I think Ritchie will be a bust. I didn't get a chance to watch him much as I mostly follow the WHL living in the west but from his highlight tapes his goals were mostly scored because of his strength compared to others he played against. Lots of his shots were off of the wrong foot and when he beat them to the net it was because he took a couple hard strides and then used his strength to fend off. That skill set won't translate to success at the next level. I had the Chance to watch Luke Schenn a lot in Junior and he dominated the exact same way but that could not be carried over when playing others who had the same size.

I am excited about verhegge. He has a lot of room to mature, late birthday. 82 points, playing on a terrible and young team. He will be one of the top players in the ohl next year. Book it.

How does Matt Finn not get nominated for top defenceman in the ohl. 2nd in scoring for defence. Plus 57. Captain of the first place team. I don't get it?

Reilly is going to be awesome, what he needs to learn is take your chance, jump in the rush but then if you don't score focus on defence. He gets offence in his mind, gets a chance, then takes unnecessary chances for the rest of the shift.

Reimer is not the only one playing bad, but a #1 goalie needs to win a game even with poor defence when you are playing the playoff drive.

I thought we out played them. We need a save when the defence breaks down. Just one.

No way price changes a game, even with 3 posts. Change goalies for the rest of the year I will say Montreal does not make the playoffs and we do.

Anyone that argues that Reimer is a good fundamental goalie does not know hockey. That is a one push across the crease save. Watch the replay, ask a goalie coach. Please!

I think we will miss the playoffs but I would be okay if we did not totally revamp the team. Look to trade gunnerson, Franson and reimer. 4th of mc clement bodie diamigo. Sign Bolland Mac, Gards, kulie. Clarkson will be better next year. Let either Percy or Granberg come up. Get a Bieksa type and a decent backup goalie and let's see what happens.

Lupul looks like he is going to put this team on his back. He is dominant when he gets that look in his eyes.

I know Reimer could not stop the third, but 10 seconds before that he needed to control the little dump in to the corner. He was scared to touch it, it went around to the Canadians, back of the net. Poor defence, but Reimer is brutal.

@Bon Scott was a Leaf fan @Roenick72@Bruffins No back when Saskatoon first built their new arena their was serious talk of this. Back before high salaries and corporate sponsorship. This is from Wikepedia "It finally found a buyer in a group of investors led by WHA and Edmonton Oilers founder Bill Hunter, who then made plans to move the team to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. However, the NHL was unwilling to lose a market as large as St. Louis and vetoed the deal."
