@Luka99 If you are going to downgrade, yes you'll need the PIT, otherwise you can flash the firmware normally.
@Mr_V1812 Did you try a data factory reset via system recovery?

@l3l2yan @avior Okay, try this to: go to settings> general> security> device administrators and uncheck KNOX. Then try to uninstall KNOX.
@arvind_kewat No, it's only for the S4.
1 year ago on Install Galaxy Note 3 Camera with Surround Shot Feature on Samsung Galaxy S4
@portmap Hi, you are facing the installation failure issue because you are trying to flash a lesser version of firmware. The latest bootloader from AT&T from build MF3 onwards do not allow downgrading. Try to find the same firmware version your phone is currently on. Since you say your S4 has 4.3, it must be the MJ7 or MK2 build.
If you do not find the firmware, try to boot the device in recovery mode and wipe data factory reset and cache partition. Then reboot device.
Since safestrap does not replace the original system files. I have not used Safestrap but as far as I know, it must have and option to switch between the stock and custom ROMs slot. If you find that option, switch to the stock one and delete the custom ROM slot.

@zeprocha No idea at the moment, but I will let you know if there's any update.

@viswavenkatesh686 Corrected. Thanks! :)

@newdriod To the best of my knowledge, it works for most US variants of S4 and also for S3.
@alpetrie1985 Agree, unlocking the bootloader is a prerequisite before rooting but how did you concluded your device has a locked bootloader. To the best of my knowledge, only Sony, Nexus and HTC device come with locked bootloaders. As for Samsung, only some US carriers use this trick to prevent users from rooting the device.
I don't see any reason why your Note should have locked bootloader!

@alpetrie1985 Who said its bootloader is locked. All I know is you can root and install recovery using the procedure given above. And, if you got a custom recovery, there is no reason why you cannot install a ROM!

@alpetrie1985 Just follow the guide to root it.

1 year ago on Root and Install CWM Recovery on AT&T/ Sprint/ T-Mobile Galaxy [Android 4.2]
@plinioandrade @DroidViews Hey, you said you have a GT-I9505 and what I see in the screenshot, you are installing the T-Mobile (US) firmware. Please make sure that you download he correct firmware. Can you tell me what model of S4 you have and which country are you from?
@plinioandrade @DroidViews Well, the guide was meant for Android 4.2.2. Anyway, use this guide to recover your phone:
@scorpion1423 Well, as I told you I have never used an Acer device, so I am not sure about that. Just google the way to install system image on your device and you should find it.
1 year ago on How to Recover When your Android Device is Caught in a Bootloop
@plinioandrade Which S4 variant do you have and what was your firmware version. I guess it might have been on Android 4.3!
@scorpion1423 In such a case the above method would not work at all. You should try restoring the official system image. I am not much familiar with Acer devices but can give you a link to the system image file:
@johnyp1406 If you are able to access the stock recovery on your S4, download the MK2 update zip to your sd card: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319196595
Boot into recovery using Volume Up+Home+Power buttons and install it using "instal/update" option.
Hi Johny, I tried to look for the MK2 firmware for you, but it appears the file has been taken down. Anyway, here is an older 4.2.2 build, try it and then upgrade to 4.3 via OTA:
@doublea Use Root Browser app.
