Spurs were +6 when Splitter was in. Just be patient. He will return.
3 months ago on Spurs’ loss to Pacers a reminder that it’s only December
Looks like Kareem is struggling with the definition of the word "year."
Pretty sure Pop did not win any of his 4 titles in 2013, and though the Spurs greatly exceeded expectations, I think there were many others in the big sports that finished 1st.
Hell, I would vote for Lindsey Vonn for Sportsperson of the year ... when you consider what a good sport she had to be to take all the crap that surely came with dating Tiger.

This is like being the MVP of the D League. Maybe C League.

Leonard is not even in the same league with George, unless by league, you mean the NBA.

I can see where all that smoke would be hardest on the team that passed the ball the most and relied a lot on 3 point shots.

Once again, if you wish for your team to be a title contender (i.e. one of the top 4 or 5 teams), you have to accept the fact that the regular season is just going to be as boring as all hell.
Because, just like every other recent year, you have about 25 teams that suck so bad that they should open up a level between the NBA and the D League for them.
And the only games are that even interesting during the regular season are among the top 4 or 5 which come around very rarely.
IE I am really looking forward to Wed. Hope Pop doesn't bench his big 3.
He got more than 3 mill per year for several years. He's doing fine. I still root for him every night.

I disagree. I think the Knicks will probably play the TWolves.
3 months, 4 weeks ago on Knicks' World Peace says they'll be ready for Spurs... in Finals?
@DifferentVSTheSame Just because he has been asked to study Bowen's defense doesn't mean Bowen was better at defense. Kawhi is much more capable than Bowen even on defense because he is longer and more athletic. But studying some of Bowen's move might teach him some tricks to make him even better.
Bowen had the luxury of being able to overplay the likes of Nash, etc. because he had a young, athletic Duncan behind him.
4 months ago on Popovich says Kawhi is better than Bowen
@DifferentVSTheSame @gruelingslate I'm not sure what I have lost but I sincerely appreciate a good spelling lesson from the anal among us.
Point is, Kawhi is a great all around player but I don't see him as ever being a markee player with his face plastered everywhere. He doesn't have the personality for it, and his game doesn't translate into big stats which is all that will make him known outside of big SA.
Now, please proofread this for me and post my grade by the weekend because I am waiting on pins and neeeeeedles.
The thing I watch for is how low the Stubhub game tickets fall the day of against crappy teams like the Suns.
Especially on Hump Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

The future face of the Spurs is averaging 3.5 points more and 2 rebounds less per game while playing 10 minutes per game more than ......
Carlyle remains a genius at coaching thrown together teams. With Cuban, his job should remain secure.
OK you talked me into it. I'll watch.

@DifferentVSTheSame @gruelingslate To answer, no. I never really considered why Tim switched. Beyond that, you are beating this to death.
4 months ago on Report: Kawhi Leonard has deal in works to join Nike and Team Jordan Brand
@DifferentVSTheSame @gruelingslate Tim signed with Adidas so he wouldn't be associated with Nike's BS in my opinion and what is PEAK? Isn't that an antifreeze?
Nike creates a conflict of interest in their players because they just push to hard to separate the players image from the team and the game.
I'm not so worried about Kawhi because he doesn't talk so he would likely never be more than a prop in a commercial.
Bird, Magic and Jordan saved the economics of the NBA because the vast majority of NBA fans do not understand team basketball. This is why ordained individuals rule the game and the Spurs are considered boring despite playing the most beautiful brand of team ball in decades.
As I said, you go for the money. The NBA did. But the game of basketball has been diminished in the process all the way down to Y Ball.
And Nike has played a much bigger role than many want to admit.
@TrooperJoe73 Then I hope you are a Spurs fan, otherwise, awkward.

Before you put too much stock in Shaq's opinion, you might want to click on the icon to the right of the SNL skit about Shaq and Barkley. It's pretty funny.
@Mike ProjectSpurs @gruelingslate Well I hope you feel right, although I was speaking so much about Nike's impact on Kawhi.
