@GreekGod @Jmessih I'm with you on Fraser and Ranger, but I wouldn't give up on Franson. Sure he's struggled this year in his own zone, but he has a special ability to get point shots to the net through traffic. That can make a huge difference in playoff games. I think of his two goals in game 7 in particular

@GreekGod @Burtonboy @Alec Brownscombe @rustynail He's also a streaky player, so I wouldn't be surprised if he scored in bunches after finally getting the monkey off his back

Very solid defensive game. I think this
was their best all-around effort as a unit tonight, shutting down a very
talented Penguins team. Bolland, Raymond, and Clarkson were awesome.
I think Nazem Kadri did a great job filling in for Tyler Bozak and didn't look
out of place on the first line. He and Kessel had some nice
passing plays, with Kessel making a few that I couldn’t believe made it to its intended target. His confidence
with the puck is on another level, and he really has evolved to become
one of the best playmakers in the league. What a clutch play breaking up a potential
breakaway by whacking that saucer pass out of midair.
I also thought that Carter Ashton had a quietly strong game. He made
smart, simple plays to dump the puck in and keep possession. He was strong on the puck, finished his checks and looked great on the third line. GLG!!!

I laughed my ass off when I saw Captain Kessel! He was definitely on fire tonight, but to me JVR was a real force in this game. Two unreal setup passes, and how can you not love that breakaway speed? I really think he has the potential to be the best power forward in the game. Oh, and uh, CLLLLARRRRKKKSSSOOOONNNN BITCHES!!! Lol cant wait

@Cameron19 @NotInsane @Zep2 Yeah there were definitely a bunch of those

@Zep2 You're right about Rielly in the offensive zone, but I don't think the Leafs necessarily had the best opportunities. Reimer was strong on a bunch of scrambles out front, and made those two big breakaway saves at 2-1. I thought it was a really close game before Raymond went all JVR on our asses!
What a great game by Reimer. Really glad he came out and battled as most of us expected he would. I like that he's a guy who thrives on competition, and he's definitely earned himself the start on Thursday. Rielly keeps getting better every game, Leivo looked excellent tonight, and Ranger is starting to settle in. Look out folks, we're not even healthy yet!

I thought Ranger had a particularly good game tonight as well. He didn't rush his passes, almost scored a couple goals, and was more composed in the defensive zone. I think the game is starting to slow down for him. This was also the first game I thought Rielly might be able to stay the entire year, though the jury is still out on that. That takeaway to bail himself out while setting up a 3 on 1 rush got me really excited about his potential. Great win Leafs, #1 in the East!!
