I'm hoping for Kadri-Nylander-Brown at training camp. I would like to see them go up against JVR-Bozak-Kessel.

@-Keon @Burtonboy  Hockey is an art, that's why it's so hard to use math effectively by it self with it. Art uses feelings and emotions math doesn't.If using stats where everything, there would be a team winning every year, all the time. It helps but is not the whole picture.

I'm worried about the new coaching staff and how they will get along with RC. There were too many cooks in the kitchen last season. I hope Shanny/Nonis deal with anarchy at the first sign of it not wait till season is over so it effects the players.

I'm not going to say i liked your piece AP. If you get too many likes some big corporation will steal you away from us and we'll have to listen to some idiots' drivel. On second thought screw it, I liked your piece! There, I said it, now some big media corporation will be trying to poach you from us. Keep the good work up MLHS staffers.

No more PK trade talk plz. When Reilly or Gardiner win the Noris you`ll all see it isn`t necessary to sell the farm for a Noris winning Dman. On a different note, with all these moves the management have made did we pick up any faceoff specialists? This needs to be addressed.

With these depth moves Toronto made, it seems they are stacking the cupboards with canned and dried goods. When famine hits the other teams before the first trade deadline Toronto will be in a position of power for once, instead of weakness. They will be able to fill their needs fairly well if the players play to their potential and if RC sticks to the plan.

Finally Leaf fans have come to their senses. Congrats James. Some of us still appreciate what you did for us in a shortened season that no one had us in making the playoffs, let alone almost beating Boston.

I'm starting to get the feeling Nonis was pressured to get Clarkson and Bolland to give them instant gratification. Seems very interesting Nonis was kept but 2 assistants weren't. I'm wondering if Puolin and Loiselle were stirring the pot with owners, derailing Nonis off his chosen patient rebuild plan with draft choices. These moves in the summer smell of buying time, until the prospects are ready to make the jump to the big leagues in the future.

Why does it seem like a lot of people are looking over Connor Brown? Coaches can't say enough about his leadership qualities and determination. Our right wing is going to look pretty deadly in 2 yrs. Kessel, Brown, Nylander (depending on which way he develops, C/RW).

With all these moves I hope they make another one concerning nutrition, skating and conditioning. They can totally over spend without any cap on these areas. With so many already using Barb it's about time they bring her into the fold along with a conditioning guru and nutritionist guru.

@wendelsway1 @Mcost61 We need some patience with Franson as his trade value right now is sort of low. All in good time WW1. But i agree he needs to go so they are finally rid of players that can't seem to shake the bad collapse from there psyche.

I see we still keep Franson. Oh well, time to make the best of it. Reimer on the other hand doesn't worry me too much. After seeing Flynn blank the prospects and his being 6'7" I've got some hope that we'll be fine if we traded Reimer. Hope Flynn makes it, it would be great to have someone his size cover the net (literally), LOL!

Thx for the analysis AP. Between you and Elliot it's hard for me to pick as top writer here for MLHS. Thx to Alec and Declan for having the foresight (unlike Leafs Management at times) to bring in good pieces to the team. Point 6 really made me go OH! It makes sence now why they didn't pick Eakins to take over after Wilson. Seems he lacked the good cop bad cop ability needed to coach these players. I guess that's why I liked Burns so much as a coach.

@Bruffins @Cloud09  One of the most important things they need to train for is flexibility. It can prevent a lot of injuries or make them not as bad. Mass can be good but at a certain point it will give you diminishing returns as you sacrifice mobility and speed for mass.

Oh no somebody can't do enough chin ups! Oh no somebody is enjoying life at a barbeque! Can the trolls lay off the guys. They'll get into shape soon enough. With todays technology in sport nutrition and advancements in training techniques anybody can stack on 12 to 20 pounds of muscle a year without steroids. Gone are the days of killer reps and strict diets just to gain 5 pounds of muscle per year.

Afternoon all. Listened to that TSN interview about Nylander and other prospects. This might just be the lucky break we needed for the future. Even though our management wanted him badly it seems lady luck helped us out with no one picking him earlier. Hope to see a line of Kadri-Nylander-Brown in the future.

I hope Nylander turns out to be like or better than, a guy i loved to hate back in the 70's, Robert Thore Nystrom.(RW).

The biggest thing that the Leafs need is something that is lacking in today's world? Wisdom! Wisdom comes through experience and a willingness to learn (being humble). I'm starting to like what i hear and see about Nylander from coaches and others on his character. He seems to be humble and seems to want to learn everything he can from others, thus begins his quest for wisdom. Need more players with this ingredient in their character on the roster.

I'm wondering if MLSE finally goes with a schedule that doesn't have that many Saturday games as a must. I noticed Boston had the best schedule Where everyone was 3 to 4 games up at times all season long. This can be helpful rest for the players on your team. Better to start slow like that and lock up a playoff spot, then you just rest your stars more till the playoffs. It's not like the Sushi crowd won't show up during the week to go to the games.

@ingy56 @hoolihan @deedrag @MaxwellHowe  I wanted that too but almost everyone here likes Lupul all of a sudden too much. Trade Lupul's injury prone style of play for someone younger to play on Kadri's left wing. Right wing will be overflowing soon (Brown, Nylander)
