@Anthony Petrielli @Hammertownleaffan Oh, I have zero doubt he'll put it together. I also realize it's super nitpicky to comment on our stud sophomore, I just feel like if he puts that shot together he has the potential to be Subban-lite.

I tend to complain about Reilly's shot, but I do hear he has been working on it. I just fired up some hi-lites (low-lites?) of the last preseason game against Buffalo, and watched him ring a clapper off of Kaleta's face. I'm hoping for big things from him, and more inflicted stitches.

What's up guys! I took most of the summer off from posting, but now that we are almost back in full swing, I'm ready to join the madness again. Sportsnet was airing a replay from last season last night where we played the Sabres and allowed like 20 shots in the second period. Remember how bad we were? Hilarious right......wait.....what?....that wasn't a replay? Alright, see you guys in 12 months!

I always joke around with my buddies and call Lupul "Mr. Saturday Night" as it always seemed that he was putting up points on hockey night in Canada. I decided to look into the most recent season and found this:

-Lupul had 13 goals, 8 assists, and 21 points in 19 Saturday night games this season.

-Those 19 games represent 27% of the 69 total games he played this year.
-The 21 points represent 48% of his yearly point total of 44 points.
-The 13 goals represent a whopping 60% of his yearly goal production of 22.
-Saturday night Lupul, if playing a full 82 game season, is capable of producing 56 goals and 91 points.

Summary: Play like it's Saturday night every night Loops!

@dlb Mad @Hammertownleaffan I watched this with two American buddies who don't watch hockey and they were just freaking out at what happened after we scored...where else can you score a goal (or point) and just get punched repeatedly in the face, and its acceptable? God I love hockey

Loved your top 5 Bruf...I would add Lupul's buzzer beater against Edmonton from early in the year, as I watched that game with an Edmonton fan, and I would also add this one, as it's Nazzy at his finest (we came back in this one too)

@Bruffins @dlb Mad Ashton surprising me is akin to a child with a deadbeat dad having his dad show up to his 6th birthday wasted. Sure, he's surprising you with his presence, but he's still going to puke on your new toys. The bar is low. (Seriously though, I hope Ashton tears it up.)

I guess I'm happy to have Frattin back solely because his buzzer-beater in overtime against Buffalo was the hardest I've cheered in a regular season game in a long time.

@Cameron19 @Hammertownleaffan I'm just spit-balling ways to get center depth. Then again, I'm also assuming we want to win. If we don't, well then that's a different story. We can just wait for Bozie's inevitable UBI and the rest will fall into place.

@ProfessorRance It's definitely a feed-forward effect...the teams are coached and managed well, good players see that, then more good players want to go, etc, etc.....Could be a tough cycle to get out of. Look at the rosters of LA, St Louis, Colorado, Anaheim. We are light-years behind those teams.
