@BethTerry Thanks so much for the link. I was planning an outing today, so I'll pick up some ACV and maybe some essential oils and see how it works with my scalp/hair type. :)

Hello, and thank you so much for your kind comment. A huge thank you for letting me know about the carcinogens in my shampoo/conditioner! Stuff like that makes me so mad...you think you're making a better choice and then find out that there's dangerous chemicals lurking inside! It doesn't seem like it should be so hard for a company to keep from it. I have been interested in making my own shampoo, conditioner and deodorant for a while now and had read good things about baking soda. This may be a stupid question, but do you do anything to the baking soda prior to use, or do you just rub some into your hair? What ratio of apple cider to water do you use? Any information would be helpful at this point. :D I feel like a child lost in the woods. I found a few recipes for yogurt online, and it doesn't seem that difficult to do. I'm going to give them a try once mine runs out. If I can find ingredients that aren't packaged with plastic may be another story. Thanks again for the recommendations and letting me know about my shampoo!
