congratulations to the winners, and thanks to Ronen for the experience, was a blast participating in this challenge.
SO WHEN'S THE NEXT CHALLENGE? :D
the level of how close the photo to the render is just amazing!
not announced yet, but Bekerman said it would be soon now :)
everyone is eager but no one wants to push Ronen :D Massiw
anyway - cant wait to see who actually won :)
ronenbekerman I was actually looking forward to the real time category most of all, sad that there was only one entry. but given one more chance with such a category in a future contest I would defiantly give it a full go.
Very stunning result :)
your entries have been by far, the weirdest :D never did understand how they all tie in together, but nice sketches non the less :)
looks awesome, nice work :)
yeah, same here :D
while looking at your work it almost makes me feel like in the 70's cause of the car in the foreground :D
well maybe you're planning to do this but I'm gonna say it anyway - don't be afraid to over do the brightness of the light, don't go with realistic lighting, go with expressive lighting, it usually turns out to be more dramatic ant stunning that way, in such a dark scene those bright warm fire lights would give an amazing effect :)
beautiful is all I can say :)
I agree with Christian, the warm light from the hanging houses has a lot of potential, I hope to some some in the foreground up close :)
now thats an awesome concept EricMehl3d
still a lot of work to make the city feel alive, but I can see that you're going to nail it, just a matter of time. Looking forward to see the end result :)
fun texturing going on here :)
n00b question: render time please? :D
I only wish that you would have worked out o more fluently moving camera, and the wide camera lens makes a very un-pretty effect when the camera turn.
but I loved it, the addition of such small elements like birds an moving people made it seem more alive, wish her were ore of those things :)
nice work
both shots look amazing, your doing a great job :)
so its a city in the sky?
I'm usually better explaining stuff with images than words :D http://screencast.com/t/Vy72aV6o2 my suggestion would be to put in some even closer ground, right in the viewers face. Well you said yourself that you want to showcase as much scale as possible so thats my suggestion of achieving it :) the final ration of the entry will be more square composition the horizontal anyway so you still have space to spare jiminy-billy-bob _
damn, that looks like its going to be one rich environment, is this your final composition or are you going to work on some closer foreground ? :)
